Rooney Mara came out to support her fiancé Joaquin Phoenix at the premiere of his highly anticipated film, Joker, held at the TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX in Hollywood on Saturday evening.

The 34-year-old actress was in her usual dark, goth-inspired red carpet style. She donned a black floral-satin bra top and pleated midi skirt from her own vegan clothing line, Hiraeth.
We’re all for sustainable and eco-friendly fashion, let’s get that straight. However, are we really here for making bra tops acceptable as formal attire?

We see that the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo star also made full use of the pockets on her pleated skirt and kept the engagement ring on her finger hidden in them for most of the premiere.
She wasn’t able to do the same at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival earlier this month. Once again wearing a piece from her Hiraeth vegan fashion brand, she couldn’t conceal the hexagon-shaped diamond ring in her black gown’s draped sides.

Rooney Mara and Joaquin Phoenix first met on the set of their 2013 film, Her, but didn’t start dating until after filming Mary Magdalene in 2016.
They made their red carpet debut as an official couple at the closing ceremony of the 2017 Cannes Film Festival.
Rumors of them being engaged first started flying in May of this year when Rooney was photographed running errands while sporting a massive diamond ring.

Still refusing to deviate from her signature style, Rooney wore her Hiraeth ‘Alma’ lace and crepe strapless dress ($1,950 at Barneys New York) with a similar black headband and even the same pair of shoes.

It’s highly likely that her black-satin pointy-toe ankle-strap pumps are cruelty-free and animal-product-free as well. Could they also be from Hiraeth?
The first shoes to be included in the Hiraeth line are a versatile pair of faux-leather zip-up combat boots. You can shop them at Barneys New York.
