Tiffany Haddish stole the show at the 2018 Oscars when she came up on stage wearing UGG slippers and with her heels in her hand.

The fast-rising comedian also wore her now-recognizable Alexander McQueen white halter dress, the third time she’d worn it to a publicly televised event.

The $4,000 Alexander McQueen Dress: A Fashion Investment Worth Repeating

In Tiffany’s second appearance wearing the white gown as a guest on Saturday Night Live, she revealed that her entire team had discouraged her from re-wearing the dress, citing it as a fashion taboo.

The “Girls Trip” actress replied, “I don’t give a dang about no taboo. I spent a lot of money on this dress. This dress cost way more than my mortgage. This is an Alexander McQueen, OK? It’s a $4,000 dress. Imma wear this dress multiple times!”

Why Tiffany Haddish Isn’t Afraid to Break Fashion Taboos

Tiffany not only wore the dress during her opening monologue but also reappeared in it again during the “Weekend Update” news segment later on the show. She came out sauntering and declared, “I told y’all I was going to wear this dress again!”

The Third Appearance: Oscars and a Thigh-High Twist

The first time Tiffany wore her $4,000 Alexander McQueen dress was at the “Girls Trip” premiere in Los Angeles. The gown was still in its original style and did not have the thigh-high split it had on SNL and at the 2018 Oscars.

One Pair of Heels, Three Appearances: Tiffany’s Love for Stuart Weitzman Sandals

It seems like the dress isn’t the only thing Tiffany tries to wear multiple times! So far, the same pair of Stuart Weitzman “Nudist” sandals have made an appearance on Tiffany’s feet during each of her dress’s three outings.

In June 2019, she wore them at the 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards with a silver Jonathan Simkhai dress.

The Stuart Weitzman Nudist sandals have become a red-carpet staple, favored by celebrities like Madison Beer, Kate Mara, and Debby Ryan for their sleek and minimalist design.
