This year’s Costume Institute Gala, also known as the Met Gala, went futuristic to celebrate the opening of the “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology” exhibition curated by Andrew Bolton.
Fashion designers, experts, and A-list celebrities came out in full force at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art for the theme, and Taylor Swift was no exception.
Tay, who co-chaired the event with Idris Elba and Anna Wintour, took the tech theme seriously in head-to-toe Louis Vuitton.
The 26-year-old singer turned up in an edgy yet flirty ensemble.
She flashed some flesh and paraded her endless legs in a silver textured mini dress, which had contrasting leather panels, a tiered ruffled skirt, and a cutout waist.

Taylor amped up the edge and drew more attention to her legs by teaming the frock with a pair of strappy knee-high gladiator sandals, also by Louis Vuitton.

She accessorized further with an Eva Fehren ring and ear cuff, a Borgioni diamond ring, and a pair of Mattia Cielo earrings.

The country-turned-pop star completed her sultry, fashion-forward look with a tousled platinum blonde lob, burgundy lipstick, and dark nail polish.

Taylor’s strappy sandals don’t look comfortable, but they’re definitely a perfect addition to her ultra-modern getup.

They have wide crisscross straps, back-zip fastenings, buckled ankle straps, open toes, and about four-inch heels.

“We very much wanted to give Taylor a new look. Make her into a rock ‘n’ roll chick,” Vogue chief Anna Wintour said last month on the Today show about Taylor’s style transformation.
“We love the way she looks. We think she looks young and modern and different, and I can’t wait to see what she’s gonna wear on May 2.”
