They have publicly shown their support for each other’s projects since becoming close friends in 2015.
Just last year, Blake Lively made her directorial debut with the music video for Taylor Swift’s I Bet You Think About Me—the second single off her re-recorded album Red (Taylor’s Version), released in November 2021.
It was up for the Video of the Year award at the 57th Academy of Country Music Awards, marking the actress’ first nomination at a music awards show.
More recently, Blake and her husband Ryan Reynolds attended the Tribeca Film Festival to support Taylor Swift and the special screening of her short film All Too Well.
The couple opted for casual-chic ensembles, with the Deadpool star in blue jeans, white sneakers, and a black camp shirt with rolled-up sleeves and the Gossip Girl lead in a breezy white sundress.

Seemingly inspired by Tay’s Fearless era, the $278 bohemian-style Reformation “Adria” linen dress features a cleavage-baring plunging v-neckline, spaghetti straps, and a full tiered midi skirt.
The Shallows actress kept the boho vibe going by layering gold necklaces around her neck.
She wore a $12,000 Jennifer Meyer Circle Link Mini necklace with a $3,995 Storrow 14K Gold Emerald and Rhodochrosite Sweet Cherry charm, a chunky chain necklace, and a Gucci horsebit bracelet.

As for her beauty look, Penn Badgley’s ex styled her blonde tresses in bouncy curls and wore minimal makeup with pink lipstick, matching blush, and eyeshadow.
Carrying a Gucci Horsebit 1955 textured-leather shoulder bag, which is available for $3,250 at Farfetch, Lively rounded out her ensemble with a pair of Christian Louboutin Goldostrap Spike pumps.

These nude Nappa leather pumps feature gold and gunmetal spikes on the pointed toes, along the T-straps, heel counters, and 4-inch heels.
Released in 2017, these 4″ covered block heels with tonal spikes from the popular shoe designer are no longer available online.

Taylor Swift, on the other hand, arrived at the event in an outfit inspired by the Ralph Lauren suit Blake wore in the 2018 thriller Simple Favor.
The rich country singer opted for a girl boss look in a Max Mara pinstripe navy pantsuit, sans the blazer.
She wore just the “Divo” wool-blend jersey vest, which you can get for $645 at Mytheresa, and the “Matilde” high-waist trousers, available for $925 at Nordstrom.

Giving her outfit a bold finish was a pair of Prada red patent leather loafer pumps with a silver buckle accent and contrasting black trims.
Tom Hiddleston’s ex discussed her directorial debut at the event held at Beacon Theatre. All Too Well: The Short Film is an adaptation of the song’s 10-minute version, starring Stranger Things’ Sadie Sink and Teen Wolf’s Dylan O’Brien.

Swift kept the rest of her look simple, accessorizing with minimalist gold jewelry.
She wore the $60 Ettika Might & Chain 18kt gold-plated bracelet set, a $1,250 Vrai ear arc, a $690 Vrai “The Round” ring, and an $850 Vrai “Mixed Cuff” ring.
The daughter of Scott Kingsley Swift and Andrea Gardner simply let her golden locks fall over her shoulder in loose waves and amped up the lady boss vibe with a swipe of red lipstick.

How Blake Lively and Taylor Swift’s Friendship Started
The two first connected in 2015 after Blake was accused of dissing Taylor on Instagram.
The 34-year-old actress shared a photo from her L’Oreal campaign shoot, which also featured a bevy of famous faces, including Julianne Moore, Naomi Watts, Karlie Kloss, Eva Longoria, and more.
In the caption, she wrote, “…Soooo, turns out this WASN’T a video shoot for John legend’s cover of Bad Blood @lorealparisoffical blew it out for this one. My #pinkobsession is exposed now Ok your turn. I won’t tell! #AlsoTurnsOutJohnLegendIsntCoveringBadBood Time to start a petition!”

Fans suspected that she was poking fun at Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood music video, released earlier that same year, featuring her friends Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Cara Delevingne, Karlie Kloss, Cindy Crawford, Zendaya, and more.
Defending her caption, Blake admitted she was actually “obsessed” with the singer. “Umm whoever thought I was throwin’ shade clearly doesn’t know I have a ‘Taylor Swift Please Be My Wife Voo Doo Doll’ #obsessed.”
“Love my Canadian family almost as much as I love Taylor Lively. I mean Swift. Ok, FIIINE we can hyphenate our last names. Xo Blake Swift-Lively 4eva.”

Since then, the two have developed a close friendship. Taylor eventually became close friends with Ryan Reynolds as well, who appeared in the singer’s You Need to Calm Down music video.
The 32-year-old singer also featured the names of Ryan and Blake’s kids—James, Inez, and Betty—in her song, Betty, released in July 2020.
She also included a voice cameo of the couple’s eldest daughter, James, in the Reputation track Gorgeous.
