Sydney Sweeney has been on a roll lately. Coming off the heels of her two movies, Anyone But You and Madame Web, Sweeney is scheduled to make her Saturday Night Live hosting debut on Saturday, March 2.

I have to admit, I’m digging Sweeney’s fashionable display in New York City as she gets ready for her hosting gig days before her eagerly awaited comeback to the small screen.

With the assistance of her stylist, Molly Dickson, she embraced several fashion periods, switching from wearing the Canadian Tuxedo trend to exhibiting a vintage look.

1. Exuding Sophistication in a Classic Contemporary Cape Dress

Heading to her SNL rehearsals on Thursday, Sydney Sweeney exuded a sophisticated and powerful vibe in a beige dress with a structured cape that, in my opinion, lent drama and mystery to the look.

She kept her famous figure under wraps in the Staud Fall 2024 beige dress with a timeless A-line silhouette and pleats, creating the exquisite ensemble’s clean lines and structured ankle-length skirt.

What initially drew me to the ensemble was the cape in darker beige, which enhanced the otherwise plain style. It had short cape sleeves, a modest high collar, and a cropped length.

The neutral color might bore some of you, but I liked how the elements came together to produce a polished and elegant look.

The Euphoria star stuck to the monochrome palette, accessorizing her beige outfit with cream-colored Staud boots and a sand leather Miu Miu bag to maintain an impeccable and refined appearance.

On sale for $477 (from $795), the Staud ”Cami” over-the-knee boots are crafted from rich, bold mink suede material and have about 25-inch shafts, pointed toes, and 3-inch heels.

These boots went well with her simple yet sleek Miu Miu leather hobo bag, enhanced with a gold-tone lettering logo on the clasp. It featured a removable leather handle and a push-lock clasp that opens to a cotton satin-lined interior with zipper and patch pockets.

I thought the Jennifer Fisher Michelle Micro Huggies were adorable and gave the look the perfect amount of glitz. The addition of matching accessories clearly made the ensemble pop.

Continuing with the retro theme of the look, Sydney shielded her eyes with a pair of square-framed sunglasses and styled her long, blonde hair in blown-out waves cascading around her shoulders.

2. Casual but Chic in Monochromatic White

I’m a fan of a well-executed monochrome look. And Sydney Sweeney pulled it off again, this time donning an all-white outfit by Italian luxury fashion brand Brunello Cucinelli.

Spotted at 30 Rock ahead of her hosting gig this weekend, Sydney flashed her taut abs in a white cropped sweater teamed with flowy, wide-leg pleated pants that were cinched at the waist with B-Low the Belt’s “Kennedy” Mini Belt, priced at $128 at Revolve.

Although the outfit struck me as youthful and fresh, the long, white coat gave it a sophisticated touch. It had a sharp collar, beige lining, and concealed front buttons.

I loved how on-point her accessories were as well. She opted for the pinkish-beige leather Mach & Mach mules with a corseted vamp and stiletto heel that accentuated her 5’3” height and injected some color into her all-white ensemble.

The Handmaid’s Tale star kept her essentials in a white Hermes cylindrical bag with a gold-tone handle to keep the outfit streamlined. A delicate gold necklace and earrings set with diamonds added glitz to her outfit.

For a sleek finish, Sweeney donned a set of Miu Miu oval-framed sunglasses, $500 at Luisaviaroma, and pulled her tresses into a slicked-back half-up, half-down ponytail styled by Glen Oropeza.

Rose-colored cheekbones and matte mauve lipstick were the exquisite makeup hidden under her sunnies.

3. Embracing Laid-Back Charm in Double Denim

Going for an easygoing vibe, Sweeney showed up at 30 Rock on Tuesday in a double denim outfit—a look that, in my opinion, not everyone can pull off.

The ensemble included Givenchy’s collarless jacket ($1,600 at Bergdorf Goodman) and matching high-waisted bootleg jeans ($1,150 at Bergdorf Goodman), featuring the house’s 4G chain accents.

Unexpectedly, Sweeney’s figure was not overshadowed by the boxy style of the loose-fitting jacket, which also featured 4G chain embellishments at the front patch pockets. She wore the Givenchy bootcut jeans with the same 4G chain details at the waistband and a flattering high waist.

I appreciate how Sydney avoided going overboard with the matchy-matchy appearance by keeping the denim pieces in comparable but distinct hues, which I think added interest to the entire ensemble.

Sydney carried a black leather Mini Antigona purse with silver metal eyelets entwined with black laces, lending a grungy flair to the Canadian Tuxedo.

Her black Mach & Mach heels, with corseted vamp and metal eyelets, featured the same design elements.

Wearing her blonde hair in casual waves, the Bombshell beauty rounded out her look with the futuristic “G Scape Shield” sunglasses by Givenchy, $480 at Nordstrom, designed with logo-embellished temples.
