The award-winning actress is starring in Three Thousand Years of Longing, a George Miller adaptation of the 1994 short story “The Djinn in the Nightingale’s Eye” by A.S. Byatt.

The dark fantasy comedy-drama movie follows a scholar named Alithea Binnie, played by Tilda Swinton, on a trip to Istanbul, where she encounters a Djinn (Idris Elba), who offers her three wishes in exchange for his freedom.

The film had its world premiere at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival on Friday, and it’s scheduled to be released in the US on August 31.
For the event, Tilda kept things classy in a Chanel Fall/Winter 2022 navy-blue dress featuring a neckline embellished with sparkling blue sequins and crystals.
It perfectly clung to her curves with its trumpet silhouette, long sleeves, and floor-length fluted hem.

Opting for a head-to-toe Chanel look, the Doctor Strange star styled with Chanel High Jewelry, which included an edgy earring and a diamond ring.
She also opted for a pair of classic black suede pointed-toe pumps from the French luxury fashion house to complete her elegant look.

Beauty-wise, the 61-year-old actress wore her signature blonde undercut mohawk hairstyle and sported minimal makeup with a pop of red lipstick.

The next day, Swinton opted for a more casual look as she attended the photocall for her latest movie.
She wore an oversized light blue Alaïa shirt dress that features a buttoned front, a collar, and long sleeves.

Later in the day, Honor Swinton Byrne’s mom attended the premiere of Romanian filmmaker Cristian Mungiu’s drama film R.M.N, set in a multiethnic village in Transylvania.
