Sarah Jessica Parker had a Carrie Bradshaw moment while charmingly appearing at this year’s New York City Ballet Fall Fashion Gala.

She channeled her iconic character in Sex and the City with her Carolina Herrera look and mismatched heels from her shoe line.

The 58-year-old actress and fashion icon serves as one of the gala chairs alongside prominent names in the entertainment industry like Diane Kruger, Naomi Watts, Claire Danes, Laverne Cox, and Andy Cohen.

Carolina Herrera, who dressed most attendees like Dianna Agron and Ariana Debose, was the honorary chair. The brand’s creative director, Wes Gordon, designed the new costumes in George Balanchine’s “Who Cares?”

Sarah Jessica Parker went all out for the grand occasion, paying homage to everyone’s favorite fictional fashionista.

She wore a Carolina Herrera Fall 2023 black midi dress with three-quarter sleeves and an off-the-shoulder design. It also had a vertical panel on the chest with cut-out detailing and a tulle tutu-inspired skirt, which was perfect for the event.

But she didn’t stop there. SJP added a dramatic touch with a long ribbon that adorned her half-up ponytail, elegantly cascading down her back.

The Family Stone actress accessorized with Kwiat Tiara diamond stud earrings and Fred Leighton and Kwiat diamond rings for some added sparkle. She completed the look with a sparkling silver bag, adding a touch of glamour while keeping her essentials close.

But the most Carrie Bradshaw-esque touch in her look comes from her mismatched heels, referencing the Sex and the City episode ‘Escape From New York.’

In one of the scenes, the beloved columnist was seen wearing a pair of mismatched shoes from Christian Louboutin.

What do you think of Sarah Jessica Parker’s look? Love it or find it a bit over the top, one thing’s certain—she fully embraced her Carrie Bradshaw moment for the night.

Sarah Jessica Parker’s daring choice of mismatched heels is a nod to fearless fashion, a concept another style icon has mastered—Lady Gaga. Known for her boundary-pushing looks, Gaga has also championed the mismatched shoe trend, proving that unconventional pairings can be just as stylish as they are bold.

Inside Lady Gaga’s Wardrobe: Balenciaga Pumps and a Paint-Splattered Pullover

Lady Gaga is called many things, but she is never labeled a snob. The eccentric artist always makes sure she has time to appreciate her fans.

In the summer of 2013, the pop star resurfaced in the public eye, sporting a look that does not include even a dust of glitter on her body and ridding her of her signature golden (sometimes rainbow) locks in preparation for the release of her latest song after her two-year hiatus.

Aside from her decision to greet awaiting fans wearing a pullover covered in dried paint (pretty tame for her standards), the pop star put on a gorgeous pair of normal-looking peplum pants.

The overall look was quite ordinary, except that she decided to wear mismatched shoes. Again, we were no longer surprised.

While promoting her new single, an army of supporters gathered outside the Chateau Marmont Hotel to catch a glimpse of their idol.

Lady Gaga wore the entire look straight from the runway (save for the mismatched shoes) of the much-anticipated first RTW collection of Alexander Wang for Balenciaga. The then-29-year-old Wang was appointed as Balenciaga’s chief designer in December 2012, making this his debut ready-to-wear collection (not that he’s a stranger to the pressure, though).

Of course, Gaga did not disappoint. When leaving her hotel, she stopped by her fans to chat, take pictures, and sign autographs.

The artist spent much time giving out autographs and taking pictures with her beloved fans, even accepting a bouquet from one before heading out to a studio. As gaga as she may be, this person is no stranger to gratitude.

Although Gaga has been toning down her look lately (no more kooky headdresses and outrageous hairstyles), she still makes sure her outfits are mixed in with fierce elements like her Balenciaga Fall 2013 cracked-effect sweater and her mismatched Balenciaga pumps.

Strangely, though, we think her mismatched shoes do not look weird. They seem perfectly in sync with her whole ensemble! What do you think?

Unfortunately, these fierce pointy-toe pumps are not yet available online. However, this great alternative on Amazon has a similar t-strap design and a nice textured look.
