This year’s Tribeca Film Festival churned out a number of fantastic films and some pretty interesting sartorial choices from Hollywood stars. We’ve already seen Olivia Palermo’s striking monochromatic look, Dree Hemingway’s gravity-defying heels, and the contrasting styles of Katie Holmes and Emma Watson at the ‘Boulevard’ premiere.
Here are a few more looks that caused quite a stir at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival:
1. Maggie Grace in Yellow Pointy-Toe Pumps
Maggie Grace was a vision of understated elegance at the premiere of ‘About Alex’. The American actress and model looked incredibly polished and sophisticated in a Resort 2014 look from Kaufmanfranco that consisted of a beautiful white coat over a white dress. Her hair was styled in a chic updo, and she added gorgeous pops of color to her ensemble with a thin yellow belt and a pair of canary yellow pumps.

3. Mindy Kaling in Saint Laurent
Mindy Kaling stepped out on the red carpet in a sexy all-black ensemble at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival. The 34-year-old actress attended the screening of ‘Alex of Venice’ to support the directorial debut of her friend and The Mindy Project co-star Chris Messina.
She was the epitome of downtown New York chic in an outfit courtesy of Helmut Lang, which consisted of a tailored smoking wool blazer over a twist-neck semi-sheer voile top and smoking cropped wool pants. Mindy finished off her look with smoky eyes and black patent leather pumps from Saint Laurent.

Cascading waves and a pair of black-and-gold slingback pumps from Christian Louboutin provided the finishing touches.

5. Gillian Jacobs in Stuart Weitzman
Gillian Jacobs was a breath of fresh air at the premiere of ‘Life Partners’ at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival. The 31-year-old actress proudly displayed her love for bold designs in a strapless dress from Tanya Taylor’s Spring 2014 collection, which features beaded embellishments and an asymmetrical hem. She styled it with soft curls, pink lips, and a navy clutch from Rodo. Gillian finished off her look with the same pair of “Nudist” sandals from Stuart Weitzman that she wore at the Community presentation during PaleyFest 2014.

9. Katie Holmes in Maroon Pointy-Toe Pumps
After appearing too casual and disheveled at the screening of ‘Boulevard’, Katie Holmes attempted to glam it up at the world premiere of ‘Miss Meadows’. She wore a beautiful satin off-the-shoulder dress from Zac Posen’s fall 2014 collection, which features a boned bodice, a striking structural detail at the waist, and a gorgeous maroon shade. Katie styled it with a Cartier bracelet and a fabulous pair of maroon pointy-toe pumps.
While the 35-year-old actress looked beautiful, unfortunately, she lacked the necessary attitude and sensuality to pull off this look. Her lackluster hair and makeup didn’t do her any favors at all, and she could have done better to make an unforgettable entrance at this year’s 2014 Tribeca Film Festival.
