Scarlett Johansson, who effortlessly turned heads at the Cannes Film Festival last month alongside her husband, once again commanded the spotlight with her impeccable style.
On Tuesday night, the 38-year-old actress graced the highly-anticipated premiere of Wes Anderson’s latest cinematic masterpiece, Asteroid City, in New York City, alongside a star-studded cast including Margot Robbie, Maya Hawke, Tom Hanks, and Jason Schwartzman.
Collaborating closely with her trusted stylist, Kate Young, Johansson channeled the essence of classic Hollywood glamour, drawing inspiration from the era’s iconic fashion.

It was evident in her choice of attire – a breathtaking white halter dress that had recently graced the runway during Carolina Herrera’s Resort 2024 show.
The dress flawlessly showcased the Ghost World actress’ enviable curves while capturing the essence of romance and femininity. Her gown boasted exquisite ruched detailing cascading down the bodice, accentuated by a stunning floral applique.
Delicate spaghetti-thin straps added a touch of sophistication, allowing glimpses of Johansson’s striking floral-print back tattoos to peek through.

The artful ruching of the dress ceased mid-thigh, seamlessly transforming into a long flowing skirt with soft, billowing pleats.
Complementing the Black Widow star’s ensemble were sparkling accessories that added a touch of glamour. Dangling diamond and pearl David Yurman Lumina earrings gracefully adorned her ears, while other intricate ear jewelry added an extra style element.
Johansson’s fingers sparkled with multiple rings, drawing attention to her impeccably manicured, glossy red nails. She embraced the allure of simplicity by forgoing a necklace, instead letting her radiant makeup take center stage.
Her flawless complexion was enhanced with a cool, pink-toned palette, accentuating her delicate features. Lightly shaped, elegant light brown eyebrows framed her captivating eyes, illuminated with soft, shimmery eyeshadow.

Colin Jost’s wife entrusted the talented hands of Jimmy Paul for her hairstyle, who artfully pinned her luscious blond tresses, creating a side-swept, retro-inspired look that exuded timeless charm.
She slipped into Gianvito Rossi’s While Wes Anderson’s films are renowned for their distinct style and aesthetic, they have rarely featured explicit sexuality or nudity. However, in Anderson’s latest film, “Asteroid City,” there is a notable departure as Scarlett Johansson’s character, the movie star Midge Campbell, appears briefly undressed in a scene. According to Scarlett Johansson, filming her full frontal nude scene in “Asteroid City” was not an issue for her. However, she ended up having to direct the scene herself as Wes Anderson felt too embarrassed to do it.
“Wes is probably the worst person to talk to about anything like that. He’s so uncomfortable around that topic,” Johansson told Yahoo Entertainment.
“I’ll leave it up to your imagination… There was a lot of throat clearing and [Wes] sort of hiding his face,” she added.
Johansson’s on-screen nudity was a factor that led the film to receive an initial R-rating from the MPAA, prompting Anderson to file an appeal. Eventually, the film was granted a PG-13 rating due to its inclusion of “brief graphic nudity, smoking, and some suggestive material.”

While her fashion choices were undoubtedly remarkable, Scarlett Johansson also took a moment to share her experience working with Wes Anderson for the film.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter at the New York premiere, she admired the director’s unique approach, revealing, “His set is so unique because Wes is never worried about time.”
The wealthy celeb praised Anderson’s ability to remain fully present, adding, “He’s never worried about having to get to the next shot or how many shots in a day or what we have or haven’t completed. He really is so present in the moment of the scene work that you’re doing that I think it just allows for such creative freedom because you really can sit in a scene and you have all the time to discover new ways in.”
