Sarah Jessica Parker never settles for boring clothes; she isn’t afraid to take fashion risks, especially at prestigious red carpet events.
Her look at the recently concluded 2014 CLIO Image Awards, which took place at The Pierre Hotel in New York City on May 7, displayed her bold fashion sense.
Ever the glamorous stylist, SJP stepped out for the event in a lavish Oscar de la Renta outfit and metallic pumps from her own SJP Collection, where she received the prestigious Honorary Image Award.

The 49-year-old actress was beaming from ear to ear while posing for the photographers in a blue velvet patterned dress styled with a black-and-white coat.
Both pieces were very striking, creating a somewhat heavy overall look. Fortunately, SJP’s confidence allowed her to pull off this combination of busy details, harmonizing these bold pieces together.

SJP’s coat was hard not to notice despite its monochrome design. It is said to have been inspired by archival prints from the Elizabethan era, which explains the vintage-looking black lace pattern.
The lace collar and cuffs can be removed to create a different look. A snap-front closure and an inverted pleat detail at the back complete this outstanding coat. You know this doesn’t cost cheap! Get it for a whopping $3,690.
