Fans were anticipating Sabrina Carpenter’s Nonsense outro during her Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2024 performance. However, they were taken aback towards the end of her set when she unexpectedly dropped an NSFW remix.
For those who do not know, during her Emails I Can’t Send Tour, which took place from September 29, 2022, to August 4, 2023, Sabrina Carpenter began changing the outro for Nonsense according to the city where she was performing. The different adlibs went on to become viral on TikTok.
For this year’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve party, Carpenter changed the outro to something explicit, causing quite a stir among the attendees in Times Square and viewers at home.

“Clark is everybody’s favorite di– type. Make a toast to everyone you dislike. Balls are dropping everywhere at midnight,” she sang.
Carpenter’s lyrics were unexpected, but it seemed like many people enjoyed them.
“[A]lthough she has some of the darkest outros, she seems like such a real and funny person to be around. [Y]ou can tell by her little giggle at the end of the outro how sweet she really is,” one person commented on YouTube.
“Never fails with her crazy outros,” another said.
Another fan wrote, “BALLS ARE DROP[P]ING EVERYWHERE AT MIDNIGH[T], Will forever be iconic. She seems like a very sweet human and looks so happy.”
However, not everyone seemed to have enjoyed her rather raunchy Nonsense outro remix on New Year’s Eve.
One X (formerly Twitter) user said, “Oh wow, those lyrics are certainly… something. Because that’s definitely what people want to hear on a family-friendly New Year’s Eve special – suggestive lyrics and double entendres. And let’s all pretend like this is some kind of bold and daring move, as if making innuendos on a nationally televised program is somehow edgy and cool.”
“She’s so weird and inappropriate it’s disgusting,” another commented.
“Oh she’s definitely getting banned from making any type of appearance on ABC after this,” one said.

Sabrina Carpenter’s Winter White New Year’s Eve Outfit
Sabrina Carpenter looked radiant as she took to the stage in a white corset-style mini dress, perfectly capturing her daring and playful style sense.
Braving the winter chill, she had her cleavage and toned legs displayed in the tiny winter white outfit that featured a fitted corseted bodice and a parachute puffball mini skirt that skimmed her thighs.
Showcasing her penchant for sparkles, Sabrina’s dress also had tiny crystals adorning the sweetheart neckline. Silver-toned corset busk fasteners and a white fuzzy ball on one chest completed the mini dress’ design.

Sabrina, who was once rumored to be dating Shawn Mendes, gave the look a more festive vibe by adding a pair of white lace opera gloves with twinkling tiny crystal embellishments.
She also donned clear tights and white knee-high socks before slipping her feet into silver platform heels encrusted with shimmering crystals.
Carpenter wore a full face of makeup with a dewy finish for her glam look. She applied lashings of mascara and eyeliner to highlight her blue eyes and added color to her appearance with a rosy blush and dark, rosy lips.
Sporting her signature fluffy curtain bangs, Sabrina parted her long, naturally blonde hair in the middle, styled in gentle curls cascading around her shoulders.

In addition, LL Cool J performed I’m Bad, Rock the Bells, Phenomenon, Mr. Good Bar, and Mama Said Knock You Out; South African singer Tyla sang On and On, Truth or Dare, and Water, which broke into the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart; and country star Jelly Roll performed Need a Favor, Halfway to Hell, and Wild Ones.

Talking about her experience touring with Swift, Sabrina told Who What Wear, “It was very much a childhood dream come true.”
“I’m not gonna say I peed my pants because that sounds really graphic and maybe not sanitary, but I think it really just caught me off guard,” she joked.
“I still probably have not processed it if I’m being completely honest with you.”
Carpenter said she felt a sisterly bond with Swift. “I have older sisters, so if anything, it felt like that type of relationship.
“To work with someone [who] cares about you as a person as well as an artist … that’s been the biggest gift for sure.”
