The English model and actress recently earned her spot as the fifth highest-paid model in the world and is rightfully receiving acknowledgment for it.

In October 2016, Elizabeth Hurley presented Rosie Huntington-Whiteley with the Businesswoman of the Year award at the London Harper’s Bazaar “Women of the Year” Awards. The two women, who connected through social media, share a mutual admiration for each other’s achievements.

“If you’re stunning and beautiful and hot, you can get campaigns, but it’s not easy to capitalize on that and to go further, to translate that into a business that will continue after you’ve hung up the thong,” Hurley said about Rosie successfully transitioning from modeling to business.

“That’s not easy at all and she’s done it beautifully. Every step of the way she’s made some really smart business moves and decisions and I hear she’s incredibly involved with all her endorsements. She’s never endorsed anything that no one wants to have.”

Rosie redefined businesswoman chic in a Saint Laurent one-shoulder leopard top paired with black pants, an ankle strap patent pump, and a statement tassel earring. All four pieces are from Saint Laurent’s Spring 2017 runway collection. The model added rings by Nirav Modi and Neil Lane to her look.

Rosie leveraged her business acumen by concentrating on the High Street market, opting out of flashy campaigns from elite fashion houses. Recent reports confirm that Rosie has now outpaced Cara Delevingne in earnings.

The former Victoria’s Secret model hung up her wings for a Marks & Spencer deal that eventually launched her lingerie, perfume, and makeup line. The model also collaborated with Paige Denim on her jeans line.

“This award means so much as it represents so many of my dreams coming true,” Rosie said during her acceptance speech.
