“Cher, what are you wearing?”
“A dress!”
“Says who?”
“Says Calvin Klein!”
If you remember where the snippet above is from, congratulations, you are a true child of the 90’s.
It should also be easy to identify this barely there spaghetti-strapped mini dress Rihanna wore to last Tuesday’s 2012 GQ Men of the Year Party. But we’ll have you know that Rihanna’s dress isn’t just a look-alike of Cher’s dress. It IS the actual Calvin Klein “Clueless” dress!

Well, as close as it could be to it, anyway. Rihanna’s red-hot Calvin Klein dress is the reissued “Clueless” dress for the L.A. boutique Confederacy in 2010.
She styled her spaghetti-strap mini dress with red Manolo Blahnik strappy sandals and silver Neil Lane jewelry, including hooped earrings and a diamond necklace.
This dress isn’t available anymore, but even if it were, it was priced at a steep $916!

It’s a good thing that plenty of our favorite dress brands have their slip dresses. Splendid, Nightcap Clothing and Free People make these cute slip dresses at prices that aren’t as shocking:
Splendid Layers Slip Dress, $39.00 to $78.00
Nightcap Clothing Basic Slip Dress, $128.00
Intimately Free People Seamless Mini, $28.00
Now, the question is: would you wear a slip dress as an actual dress out in public? (Our answer is yes, but only if the dress isn’t sheer or see-through!)
