Rihanna joined A$AP Rocky for a night out in New York City on Thursday, October 3, to celebrate the rapper-designer’s 36th birthday. As expected of the fashion duo, they served, ate, and left no crumbs, looking like a million dollars in their evening ensembles.
The couple, who share two boys, Riot, born in August 2023, and RZA, born in May 2022, was dressed to impress as they left So & So’s in Midtown, New York City.
A$AP Rocky’s Elegant Gray Ensemble
The birthday boy went preppy, sporting a light gray suit from Bottega Veneta’s Spring 2025 collection. It comprises a vest, a striped collared shirt, and an oversized gray-and-cream plaid tweed coat.
His black sunglasses and gold earrings gave him a cool appearance, and his Bottega Veneta “Strut” derby shoes—which, in my opinion, enhanced the ensemble’s overall elegance—completed the look.
Made in Italy from smooth leather, these derby shoes have lace-up vamps, round toes, stacked heels, and braided leather welt. They retail for $1,250 at Neiman Marcus.
Despite having a similar appearance to oxfords, derby shoes can be recognized by their open lacing, which is created by sewing the quarters on top of the vamp.

Rihanna Embraces Sensual Sophistication in LaQuan Smith Dress and Gianvito Rossi Heels
Rihanna brought her signature sensual sophistication to the evening celebration, opting for a figure-hugging long black bodycon dress. I love how it accentuates her hourglass proportions!
The now second-richest female musician decided on a dress by LaQuan Smith, whose glitzy, seductive, and provocative designs are reflected in her ensemble. The halter dress’s body-contouring fit is attributed to the lycra fabric, which is very stretchy. Additionally, it has drawstring ruching across the waist to accentuate her shape even more.

I’m not one to wear a dress this tight, but Rihanna, who has mastered her unapologetic, daring, and edgy style, looks stunning in this ensemble. The original neckline plunged to the navel, but RiRi kept it modest and stitched it up to show off just enough cleavage.
The dress is fresh off LaQuan Smith’s Spring 2025 collection. Its long sleeves and ankle-length hem contribute to its modest look, while its shoulder cutouts add to its allure.
At one point, Rihanna looked cozy with a cropped, dark brown fur coat from LaQuan Smith’s Fall 2021 collection. One of her staff members was seen carrying her coat as she exited the bar and lounge.

RiRi added glitz to the black dress by slipping her white pedicured feet into a pair of metallic silver sandals by Gianvito Rossi. She wore the Italian label’s “Montecarlo” style, first released in 2019. Rihanna’s version, however, is a part of the label’s Resort 2025 collection, which won’t be available in shops until next month.
Though Rihanna’s shoes are different from the other Montecarlos in that they have a velvet insole with a leopard design, they nevertheless have the same 4.1-inch stiletto heels, an ankle tie adorned with crystals, and crystal-encrusted toe straps.

Rihanna, a maximalist through and through, further accessorized her outfit with glistening jewelry from Paris-based jewelry designer Marie Lichtenberg.
She adorned her hands with the $8,800 “Eye Scap” ring, handmade from 18k yellow gold, chiseled and gadrooned, and set with 49 FVS white diamonds for ten to 20 hours.
She wore a tennis necklace, a gold choker, and two pendant necklaces around her neck: the $29,700 “You Are The One” scapular necklace set with 72 white G SI diamonds and the $20,580 “Check Ruby” scapular necklace hanging on a 50cm rosa classic chain with 121 G+ VS+ white diamonds and 56 rubies.
Rihanna shielded her eyes from camera flashes with the $370 Dolce & Gabbana “DG Sharped” sunglasses. They’re square and feature dark violet lenses, double acetate work on the front frame, and the Dolce & Gabbana signature on the temples.
Glam-wise, RiRi wore her signature nude makeup and styled her long hair straight, with her bangs swept to the side.
