A variety of instantly iconic commercials aired during the 2022 Super Bowl, including a Toyota advertisement featuring Rashida Jones, Tommy Lee Jones, Leslie Jones, and Nick Jonas.
The commercial, cleverly titled “Keeping Up With the Joneses,” played off the stars’ same or similar last names and was a major hit.

To some, the most compelling star in the commercial was Rashida Jones, simply because she’s recently amassed a large body of work in television advertisements.
Let’s take a closer look at her work with Toyota, as well as some other commercials you might recognize her from:
The Toyota Commercial’s Premise
The ad, which was fittingly set to Tom Jones’s “It’s Not Unusual,” showed Leslie, Tommy Lee, and Rashida all driving Toyota pickups and meeting at an overlook to chat before being greeted by Nick Jonas.

The car company hoped the commercial would set it apart from other advertisements from the night, and given its reception, it certainly did.
“The four of us could do an action movie,” Rashida told Variety about her commercial for Toyota’s Tundra pick-up trucks.
“It’s so rare that you get offered something that you’re kind of one of very few people that can actually do the job based on your last name,” she added.
Other Commercials Starring Rashida Jones
Rashida Jones is no stranger to show business, particularly shooting commercials.
The daughter of legendary record producer Quincy Jones, Rashida has been in the entertainment world all her life, and you might be familiar with some of her other commercial work.

Aside from the Toyota commercial, Jones has been seen in a Tory Burch ad, a couple of Citi Custom Cash Card ads, and multiple Expedia ads.
Her most prolific commercial work, though, has been as the voice behind a slew of Southwest Airlines ads. Keep your eyes and your ears peeled, and you just might see and hear more of Rashida Jones in future commercials.

In May 2016, Rashida Jones sported a classy and fun look while attending the 2016 Turner Upfront Presentation held at The Theater in Madison Square Garden.
The then-40-year-old actress was there to promote her CBS comedy show “Angie Tribeca,” which was canceled after four seasons on May 9, 2019.

Rashida’s black Tibi dress was a winning choice. It maintained her sophisticated sensibilities while also adding some quirkiness.
This monochrome frock looked feminine and fun on the “Parks and Rec” star thanks to butterfly sleeves and a ruffled biased-cut hemline.

Rashida styled her sleek mod-bob straight and added a pop of bright pink lipstick to give her look a polished and preppy finish.

She added minimal accessories, including a few simple rings and a small gold chain necklace, and topped the ensemble off with a pair of funky metallic Pierre Hardy heels.

These heels added a bit of sparkle to Rashia’s ensemble without being overstated.
In standard Pierre Hardy style, they feature a bold and chunky block heel that added a few extra inches to Rashida’s 5’4″ frame.
Stripes of silver snakeskin give these shoes a fierce look, while a thin adjustable ankle strap maintains a touch of elegance.
