Just under a year after his death, the Royal family gathered to pay tribute to Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh with a Service of Thanksgiving.
The service took place at Westminster Abbey on the 29th of March this year and marked the end of an era as the family celebrated the Duke’s life and legacy.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the service with Prince George and Princess Charlotte, now aged eight and six respectively, while Prince Louis aged 3 stayed at home.
As always Kate Middleton was the epitome of elegance and poise. She has become a fashion icon in her own right, and we loved the family’s unified look.

William and George both wore navy suits, William sported a crisp white collared shirt while George’s shirt was pale blue. They completed their looks with blue ties.
Charlotte wore a double-breasted navy-blue coat, with navy tights and black flat pumps. Her hair was styled away from her face by two mini braids.
The Outfit That Stole the Show
But the star of the show was Kate in her elegant monochrome outfit, reminiscent of styles worn by Princess Diana in the 1980s.
For the occasion, she chose a black polka-dot silk-crepe midi dress by one of her favorite designers, Alessandra Rich.
The drop-waisted dress featured a high neckline, puffed full-length sleeves, and a knife-pleated skirt with a knee-length slit. Additional details included striking retro buttons on the left shoulder and a matching belt in the same polka-dot material.
When it comes to shoes, we weren’t surprised to see her in black Gianvito Rossi pumps. This is one of her go-to brands and favorite style – she owns them in 5 other colors.
You can shop Kate Middleton’s go-to Gianvito Rossi suede pumps at Farfetch, Mytheresa, Nordstrom, and Saks Fifth Avenue.

The Rossi 105 pumps feature a pointed toe and skinny stiletto heel and complimented her sleek silhouette.
For her hat, she chose a wide-brimmed black Mayer boater style from Lock & Co Hatters. Kate had the trim design of the hat altered to incorporate a twisted straw bow detail and white feathers.
She carried her gloves, a classic black design by Cornelia James. These ‘Alice’ bow gloves are made from Merino wool with a velvet bow detail.
Her handbag was the perfect choice for this sophisticated look, an understated nude, biscuit shade Curvy Clutch by Russel & Bromley.

This suede clutch features a gunmetal frame and matching clasp. The Duchess was first spotted carrying this bag during the 2016 Royal Tour at the Taj Palace Hotel, Mumbai.
A Tribute to Diana
Kate’s hair was styled in an elegant, twisted bun that showcased those sentimental pearl-drop earrings that once belonged to her late mother-in-law, Diana, Princess of Wales.
These earrings are known as the “Collingwood Earrings” and were given to Princess Diana by the jewelry house as a wedding present when she married Prince Charles in 1981.
Kate has worn these earrings to many family events as a tribute to Diana. She wore them back in 2019 when Archie, Prince Harry’s first child, was christened at Windsor Castle and she has previously worn them to the Queen and Prince Philip’s 70th wedding anniversary.
We can’t wait to see what our favorite royal fashion icon will be seen in next.

There’s so much to love about Kate Middleton. The Duchess of Cambridge brilliantly bridges the gap between the royal family and the everyday people she represents.
In August 2016, Kate opened up about the fears and insecurities she faced as a rookie parent.

The Duchess and Prince William made a surprise visit to YoungMinds, a helpline for parents under the couple’s Heads Together campaign in London.
Kate wore a red dress from LK Bennett, which looked like a shortened version of something similar we’ve seen her wear before.

The Duchess polished her look with a silver watch, an LK Bennett hard clutch, and her go-to Gianvito Rossi pumps in nude suede.
Kate said she was incredibly impressed with the organization. The young mom expressed how much of a relief it is to have a safe space where parents can talk to experienced counselors without judgment.
The then 34-year-old royal said she and Prince William have natural fears for their two little ones, and that when left unguarded, the fears can escalate to something grave.
