The 80th Venice Film Festival became a captivating showcase of fashion and star power on August 31, with luminaries gracing the red carpet.

Among the standout attendees were the charismatic Grey’s Anatomy heartthrob Patrick Dempsey and his equally stunning wife, Jillian Fink.

The spotlight of the evening was the highly-anticipated premiere of Patrick’s latest cinematic masterpiece, Ferrari.

Despite the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, the biographical sports thriller film received a special waiver to shine at this prestigious event, thanks to being produced by the non-AMPTP distributor, Neon. This exemption allowed the film’s actors and writers to participate without crossing picket lines.

But let’s talk about style! Jillian Fink was an absolute vision in her ensemble, exuding timeless elegance that left everyone in awe.

The 57-year-old make-up artist graced the red carpet in a strapless ivory gown featuring a classic neckline, a chic fitted bodice, and a dramatic, pleated skirt.

Jillian added a bold statement to her ensemble with a stylish Celine Neo blouson jacket in black soft lambskin leather, casually draped over her shoulders.

This Italian-made statement jacket featured a cropped length, a shirt collar, two patch pockets on the chest, two button tabs at the waist, and five triomphe snap buttons.

Completing her classic style were strappy sandals in white, adorning her feet with the perfect finishing touch.

Meanwhile, Patrick Dempsey, forever the epitome of McDreamy, walked the red carpet arm in arm with his wife, exuding charisma and charm.

He donned a classic black suit and a matching bow tie, radiating timeless sophistication.

Patrick’s silver locks, a stark contrast to the hair he dyed for his role as veteran Ferrari racing driver Piero Taruffi, added an extra touch of refinement to his ensemble.

The 57-year-old actor completed his dapper red carpet appearance with shiny dress shoes and aviator shades.

What Is Ferrari About?

Ferrari, directed by Michael Mann and written by Troy Kennedy, based on a book by Brock Yates, offers a riveting glimpse into the world of high-powered Italian sports cars.

Set to hit theaters on December 25, this captivating film explores a pivotal three-month period in automotive mogul Enzo Ferrari’s life, marked by financial troubles, personal grief, and the revelation of a child from his mistress, a secret discovered by his wife.

The star-studded cast includes Adam Driver, Penélope Cruz, Shailene Woodley, Sarah Gadon, Gabriel Leone, and Jack O’Connell, compellingly portraying this intriguing story.

Patrick Dempsey’s involvement in the film is no surprise, given his deep passion for racing that extends beyond the silver screen.

In an exclusive interview with Fox 5 in July, he described his role as the “best job [he’s] ever had in [his] life,” expressing his admiration for the cast and director, saying, “I’d been following that movie for a very long time. [Mann] had been trying to make that movie for over 20 years, and then Adam [Driver], who’s in it, is incredible, as as [Enzo] Ferrari. The entire cast is very strong.”

When asked about his preference between acting and racing, Patrick’s response echoes his character: “If I was a younger man, I’d love to race full time.”
