Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are returning to the small screen with their new reality show, Paris & Nicole: The Encore.
The three-part special, showing on Peacock on December 12, will follow the two as they attempt to produce an opera based on their self-coined term, Sanasa.
“We wrote a song when we were about 7 years old called ‘Sanasa’,” Richie told W Magazine, “When we were shooting The Simple Life, it was just our little inside joke, but it became an international sensation. People loved it. What people need, even though they don’t know it yet, is for ‘Sanasa’ to be an opera,” Richie said.
Hilton added: “The idea of the opera was very unexpected, and that’s exactly why we loved it.”

Promoting their new show, Paris and Nicole attended the Vulture Festival panel discussion for their upcoming project at Nya East in Los Angeles.
The two are known for their distinct yet equally chic styles. Paris typically opts for ultra-feminine, often glitzy ensembles, while Nicole loves edgy and daring outfits with boho elements. For the event, however, the fashion superstars chose matching slinky dresses that nonetheless featured their signature aesthetics.

Paris Hilton’s Sparkling Style: Studded Black Dress and Classic Pumps
Showcasing her penchant for anything glitzy and fancy, Paris wore a slinky black maxi dress embellished with shiny rhinestone studs, allowing her to sparkle from every angle.
She selected a dress from Sportmax, Max Mara’s innovative sister label. This Italian contemporary brand is known for offering timeless, feminine styles by fusing cutting-edge tailoring with the Italian artisan tradition.
I assume it’s part of the brand’s Klepsydra (an ancient Greek clock) collection, which features “a curated selection of dresses and blazers designed to embody timeless yet contemporary sophistication through the shape of a marked hourglass silhouette.”
Like every silhouette in the said line, the dress has a timeless yet contemporary noticeable hourglass shape, hugging every inch of Paris’ slender frame. It’s cut from a scuba jersey and features long sleeves, a fitted waist, and side slits.

Interestingly, the maximalist dresser kept the rest of her look understated. I appreciate her lack of extravagant jewelry, which lets the dress shine on its own.
Paris wore a thick velvet choker necklace to add her signature edge. She also wore a few diamond rings and earrings.
Instead of wearing her signature fingerless gloves, Paris pulled the long sleeves of her dress down to cover half of her hands.

I don’t see anything particularly noteworthy about the socialite’s makeup as she donned the usual—nude bronze eyeshadow, fluttery eyelashes, peachy blush, and nude lip gloss. Her long, golden hair was parted in the middle and styled in soft waves cascading over her chest.
Paris isn’t the type to wear statement shoes, so it’s hardly shocking that she finishes the ensemble with another pair of classic black suede pumps.

Nicole Richie Turns Heads in Red: Slinky Dress and Snakeskin Shoes
Like her bestie, Nicole Richie wore a slinky dress that perfectly matched her slender figure. The dress is really basic, and I can’t help but feel like I’ve seen it on her before.
It is a knit dress with long sleeves and a high collar that exudes her typical bohemian style. Although I’m not a huge fan of the dress, I like how well it fits and accentuates all her contours.
Posing with Paris, Nicole exudes confidence in her signature style, wearing a maxi dress with long sleeves, a turtleneck, and an exposed seam along the center front. Fitted at the hips and waist, it falls to a skirt with delicate pleating and a hint of flare.

Contrary to Paris, Nicole went all out with accessories, which didn’t surprise me, considering she founded her jewelry brand, House of Harlow, which has evolved into a lifestyle brand.
Naturally, she donned items from her own label, reflecting carefree fashion and creative expression that captures California’s free spirit.
Although I would rather not wear the necklace to draw attention to the dress’s silhouette, Nicole added an artistic touch to the ensemble by wrapping the $198 “Baez” open-back collar around her neck. This 14k gold-plated brass necklace has black hand-painted enamel details with Onyx cabochons and a large Red Jasper Agate center stone.
She complemented the look with the $178 earth-tone “Tabby” earrings, featuring oval-cut Moss Agate, genuine Tiger’s Eye, Carnelian, and a triangle-cut Onyx. A princess-cut white crystal accent makes this pair even more sparkling.
Nicole wore the $235 “Gold Kerchief” hinged cuff in a beautiful, semi-matte gold finish on her red-manicured hands, along with statement gold rings.

I love how she went with rosy makeup to match her dress. She wore soft red eyeshadow, blush, and nude lipstick, letting her long bob fall over her shoulders.
Although her gown somewhat obscured them, she seemed to be wearing brown snakeskin shoes, which, based on their silhouette, I assumed were ballet shoes.
I would have chosen strappy red sandals, if not gold ones, to accompany the ensemble. But considering Nicole is known for her eclectic style, this pairing isn’t surprising.

Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie: A Friendship Fashionably Rekindled
Paris and Nicole, who have been friends since they were young, starred in the reality show The Simple Life two decades ago. The show, which featured the two wealthy socialites working at low-paying, menial jobs, launched them into international fame.
Following a falling out between them—either because of Hilton’s excessive partying, Nicole’s envy of Hilton’s fame, or Paris’ plan to replace Nicole with Kimberly Stewart on the show—the series was canceled after season 5.
The two eventually reconciled, with Paris publicly congratulating Nicole on her first child with Benji Madden. Today, Paris and Nicole remain close, sharing parenting tips and advice.
