David Leveaux’s modern adaptation of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet might not have gotten the best reviews, but how many times can you recreate the most tragic love story ever written?

Fortunately, Orlando Bloom managed to steal our hearts as an edgy Romeo.

With the play still set in Verona, Bloom was styled as a motorcycle-riding James Dean-esque young man who wears ripped jeans, henleys, and hoodies and rocks several exotic necklaces.

He was hot. And then there’s that matter of him ferociously uttering lovesick poetry throughout the play. If that doesn’t get you, we don’t know what will.
