If you want to make a statement in today’s fashion climate, black-and-white striped dresses are the way to go. Just ask Miley Cyrus, Nicole Richie, and many top fashion bloggers.
We spotted Olivia Wilde rocking this hot dress trend while out and about in New York the other day, but as for the statement she wanted to make, it seemed she wanted to go in the opposite direction. Instead of the high-fashion, super-fly look in which black-and-white striped dresses are typically styled, Olivia Wilde went ultra-casual, slouchy, and loungy with hers. Check her out:
On August 2, 2013, in New York City, Olivia Wilde was spotted wearing Ray-Ban Original Wayfarer 2140 sunglasses, an A.L.C. striped short-sleeve drape skirt dress, a Rovimoss First Class Mini Square crossbody bag, and H by Hudson Encke ankle boots (Credit: Ivan Nikolov / WENN))
With that tucked-in skirt detail, those rugged ankle boots, and a no-nonsense choice of accessories, Olivia Wilde’s New York look here couldn’t be any more lax and laidback.
And for us, it also couldn’t be any more lust-worthy! We’re highly coveting the actress’ carefree attitude toward the black-and-white striped dress trend, whether it was intentional or not on her part.
We had to search a bit for Olivia Wilde’s dress, but our efforts were immediately rewarded — look at what we found:
