Like clockwork, as soon as Fashion Weeks around the globe commence, we find “it” girl and socialite Olivia Palermo making the front row rounds.
And as expected, she aces every appearance with effortlessly chic outfits that are unexpectedly mixed yet perennially stylish. Her rare talent for magically turning even the dowdiest and boring-looking items into something so fabulous is what makes her fascinating to watch.

At the Elisabetta Franchi presentation, Olivia transformed an ordinary three-piece grey outfit into an attire worthy of a second glance by pairing it with well-chosen extras that infused pops of color into her look — a gorgeous multicolored necklace from BaubleBar, an exquisitely embroidered purse from Fendi, and a beautiful colorblock scarf that made the outfit extra special.

Don’t you love how she combined two statement pieces (scarf and bag) and made them work instead of clash? The pairing looks insanely gorgeous. The whole outfit is lookbook-worthy. We’re going to take a cue from Olivia here. How about you?
Copying her attire is not as hard as it looks. You need a decent grey coat or jacket and some grey separates (a plain grey blouse and skirt will do, or pick a grey shift dress).
The tricky part is finding the right scarf and purse to go with. Here are several suggestions from yours truly:
Bag: Juicy Couture Rosewood Mini G Stripe Bag, $98 / Scarf: Spun & Subtle Luxury A Beautiful Life Scarf, $52
Bag: Juicy Couture Rosewood Mini G Stripe Bag, $98 / Scarf: Tolani Digital Neon Trim Scarf, $86
Worn with light neutrals like beige or dove grey, these orange-hued extras will stand out and make you a star.
Try this pretty necklace from Sabine for the other finishing touches, then cap off your outfit with black tights and booties. Or, follow what Olivia did by wearing black suede over-the-knee boots:
Necklace: Sabine Flower Statement Necklace, $125 / Dress: Tibi Spring Tweed Dress, $298 / Boots: ALDO Passamonte Boots, $140 / Jacket: Rebecca Taylor Honeycomb Jacket, $495
