Love is in the air!
After dating for almost four years, Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo and football star Christian McCaffrey are finally engaged.
The couple shared the exciting news on April 7, posting a collection of black and white photos that captured the beautiful moment when McCaffrey proposed.
In the Instagram post, the first photo showed the priceless reaction of the American beauty queen to her now-fiance getting down on one knee.
They were surrounded by a stunning floral arrangement and breathtaking red rocks in the opulent Amangiri Resort in Canyon Point, Utah.

The 30-year-old model sported an oversized blazer over a dress, high-knee boots, and tiny earrings, while the 26-year-old NFL player donned a classic ensemble of black slacks, boots, and a black sweater layered over a white dress shirt.
After accepting the proposal, the couple was seen beaming, holding hands, and hugging in the following photos. Culpo showed off her brand-new diamond engagement ring, created by the bespoke jewelry brand Ring Concierge, in the last slide of the post.
Culpo captioned the post with “4.2.23,” along with the infinity symbol, which appears to be the day the proposal happened.

The fashion influencer acknowledged that they first tried to keep their engagement a secret in her Instagram Story, writing, “We tried to keep this quiet for as long as possible, but apparently, word travels fast.”
She continued, “I’m marrying my best friend. I love you so much, fiancé.”

In May 2019, relationship rumors around the supermodel and Stanford alum initially surfaced when McCaffrey liked one of Culpo’s Instagram posts.
Olivia Culpo, whose past boyfriends include Nick Jonas, Tim Tebow, and Danny Amendola, later revealed that mutual friends had introduced her to the football player, admitting she was initially “apprehensive” about meeting him.
Three years later, the couple celebrated their third anniversary in June 2022. Taking to Instagram, Culpo reflected on their journey together and how she was initially hesitant about meeting McCaffrey.

She wrote, “Three years ago, I was not looking for a relationship. When my best friends Kristen & Tyler called me and asked if I would be open to meeting their friend Christian I was apprehensive. I was worried it would be the same old story all over again and that all guys were the same.”
Culpo continued, “While my expectations were low, I knew I couldn’t close myself off and make decisions based on fear.”
The model expressed her gratitude for giving love another chance and praised McCaffrey as “the epitome of strength through humility.”
She said, “I’m so grateful for the voice inside me that told me to give love another chance. The yin to my yang, you are the epitome of strength through humility. Thank you for being my rock and restoring my faith in love. You are everything I ever dreamed of and more ❤️❤️.”

Before McCaffrey, Culpo had dated several well-known athletes, including Ryan Lochte, Tim Tebow, and Danny Amendola.
However, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight in November 2022, she explained why she had broken her “no athletes ever again” rule for McCaffrey and shared the traits that made him the perfect match.
Culpo gushed, “He’s just the best. I feel like he is really everything that I could ever ask for, so I never have to worry about anything.”
She explained, “I think that was the reason why I didn’t want to date an athlete, no offense, because there is a reputation there.”

The model also talked about McCaffrey’s family and their shared values, which she believes are a testament to his character.
She continued, “He just comes from a great family. We have a lot in common in that respect. I feel like you can really tell who a person is by the people that raise them, and I just love his parents so much. They have a great relationship.”
Culpo also joked about his good looks, saying the athlete “has a really good head on his shoulders, and he’s hot too, right?”

The couple has discussed starting a family within the next two to three years. Culpo explained that they are very open with each other about their future as a couple and said, “Yeah, I think every couple is going to have those conversations. I can’t tell you exactly when but I wish I could. I’m excited for the future. I have no exact timeline, but it will be really great.”
