It had been quite a year for Bella Hadid. The model had shot numerous magazine covers, locked a campaign with J.W. Anderson, and continued to soar in her field — all while battling Lyme Disease!
That is precisely why British GQ Magazine presented her with the “Model of the Year” Award in September 2016 at their Men of the Year Awards at Tate Modern, London. The then-19-year-old took to Instagram to share how happy and honored she was to receive the award.

Bella looked flawless in a nude off-the-shoulder gown custom-designed by Jason Wu for Boss.

The gown included a thigh-high slit that showed off her long and lean legs, in case there was any doubt as to why she received this award.

Gigi’s little sister paired the sleek gown with metallic, gold ankle-strap sandals.

Bella Hadid completed her red carpet look with a pair of metallic Jimmy Choo “Minny” sandals, adding a touch of elegance to her outfit.
These minimalist, ankle-strap sandals are popular among celebrities due to their versatile design and ability to elongate the legs, making them a go-to choice for formal events. Some stars we’ve featured wearing them include Emma Stone, Margot Robbie, and Olivia Munn.

We are not the only ones amazed by her success. Fellow model Ashley Graham also raved about Bella on her Instagram page, saying she loved presenting the award to her at the event.
