The 2015 U.S. Open began on Monday, August 31. World Number 1 Serena Williams is playing for her 22nd major singles title, which would tie with the record set by Steffi Graf in 1999.
She’s also bidding for a calendar-year Grand Slam by winning all four major tennis tournaments, including Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon Championships, and US Open — which is going to be the first in women’s tennis since Steffi Graf accomplished it in 1988.

NikeCourt has recently released a new collection, called the “Greatness Collection,” to celebrate Serena Williams’ triumphs. It includes a special-edition bomber jacket and three footwear silhouettes: the NikeCourt Flare, the NikeCourt Roshe LD-1000, and the NikeCourt Air Max 1 Ultra shoes.
She wore the latter at the Taste of Tennis gala. These shoes feature Nike Safari, which indicates her penchant for animal prints, and marble print, which symbolizes her strength.
