Nicki Minaj won big at the 2015 BET Awards, which took place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday. Winning two out of six nominations, she picked up the Coca-Cola Viewers’ Choice Award for her song “Only” and the Best Female Hip-Hop Artist award, making her the first and only female rapper to win the latter trophy six years in a row.
During her acceptance speech, it seemed she threw shade at Lil’ Kim. She said, “Don’t give up on yourself no matter what. This is for everyone in this room. I want to tell you to please make it your business to follow your dreams because one day you will wake up and look around and your dreams will be gone and then you will be mad at somebody. But be mad at your g-d self.” Rumors surfaced that she was talking about Lil’ Kim, who has not released new music in over a decade.
Nicki and Meek Mill made their red carpet debut as a couple at the awards show. Meek looked cool in a white crown-printed polo shirt paired with white pants and sneakers. Nicki also brought along her mother, Carol Maraj, who matched her black floor-sweeping gown.

Channeling her inner Morticia Addams, the Queen of Rap slipped into a $9,200 figure-hugging Givenchy gown in black floral lace featuring long sleeves with zipper trims, a flared ruffled skirt, and a huge zip fastening along the front, which was partially unzipped to show off Nicki’s ample cleavage. She wore her long dark locks sleek, straight, and parted down the middle while sporting winged eyeliner and pink lipstick.
Nicki completed her dramatic look with Tom Ford sandals made of black calfskin leather and feature gold T-bars, wrap-around ankle buckle straps, and 4.3 inch gold metal heels.

The 32-year-old rapper later changed into an edgier outfit — a Mugler black-and-white sleeveless dress featuring a layered bodice with revealing cutouts and a fitted skirt. Posing with her awards in the press room, she looked va-va-voom in this dress, which we thought was much better than the gothic Givenchy gown.
Furthering the modern vibe of her look, the BET Awards winner wore a pair of Rene Caovilla pumps in white karung, black suede, and beige suede materials, embellished with sparkling Swarovski crystals. They also have T-straps, pointed toes, glittered soles, adjustable buckled ankle straps, and about 4 inch heels.
