Last Thursday, Natalie Portman returned to the red carpet circuit at the New York City Ballet 2013 Fall Gala, held at the Lincoln Center in NYC. In her Christian Dior Fall 2013 column gown, Natalie did the impossible: she managed to outdress, outshine, and outfab the usually best-dressed Sarah Jessica Parker!
First, see how stunning Natalie Portman looked in her blue-yellow-and-black strapless gown, which was paired with dramatic smoky eyes and a model-esque blowout hairdo.

Natalie was a vision of perfection, and it was no small feat for her to beat Sarah Jessica Parker in the fashion department, especially considering what SJP wore — a full-on strapless pink ball gown, a style typically reserved for belles of the ball.
Not just that, SJP’s gown was also custom-made for her by two designers, a collaborative effort between Prabal Gurung and Olivier Theyskens.

We also have to show you the eye-catching palm bracelets SJP wore as statement accessories to her custom gown to prove further that SJP did not make it easy for Natalie Portman.

Despite SJP’s formidable fashion statement, Natalie Portman’s quiet elegance ultimately stole the show. What do you think? Did Natalie Portman outshine Sarah Jessica Parker, or do you have a different favorite?
