Being nominated for an Academy Award is one of the highest honors — if not the highest honor — one can get in Hollywood, regardless of age, gender, race, religion or cultural background.
English actress Naomie Harris started the year off on a high note as she received her first ever Oscar nomination. The actress attended the Oscar nominee luncheon held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.

Naomie was on point with her outfit, picking a Bottega Veneta dress from the Spring 2017 ready-to-wear collection. From afar, the dress looked ordinary enough, but a close up on the detailing revealed that the dress is a gorgeous combination of discreet prints, embellishments and stitches.
The actress complemented her low-key dress with a clutch from Edie Parker, jewelry from Graziela Gems and Rachel Katz and a pair of black René Caovilla sandals.

Naomie was nominated for her work as a crack addict in the film “Moonlight.” Ironically, the actress almost turned the opportunity down because she vowed to stay away from roles that depicted black women in a negative light. The actress also said the she only spent three days shooting her scenes.
At the luncheon, the actress shared that she was most excited to meet Justin Timberlake. We’re not exactly judging her.
