Naomi Watts has always been open about her experience with early menopause and her efforts to conquer the stigma surrounding that “natural” part of a woman’s life.
On Thursday, the actress stopped by the Today Show to speak with hosts Hoda Kotb, Jenna Bush Hager, and Maria Shriver about her personal experience with perimenopause and promote her menopause wellness brand, Stripes.

The King Kong star layered a pinstripe blazer over a two-piece white ensemble for her interview.
Watts’ Dries Van Noten “Bylee” wool blazer jacket had raw edge trimmings on one lapel, a double-breasted front, and a tailored midi-length style. A pristine white mock-neck top was worn underneath and tucked into a matching white midi skirt.

To complete a stylish fall outfit, Naomi donned Fendi’s “Delfina” boots, cut from black leather with a side zip, ankle straps with a gold metal FF logo, and 4-inch cutout gold-metal heels.

She managed to keep the look sophisticated while also being edgy with a selection of gold jewelry, including a gold bangle, a few rings, dangling paperclip earrings, and tiny stud earrings.
The Gypsy star styled her blonde hair down and applied a pink lip and blush to complete her glam. She then concealed her eyes behind a $450 pair of Fendi “First” black acetate square sunglasses with a gold-colored diagonal F motif.

Naomi Watts Shares Perimenopause Symptoms
During her Today Show interview, Watts revealed experiencing perimenopause at 36 when she was trying to start a family.
“Basically, I didn’t know what was happening and it happened right at the precipice of me wanting to start a family, meeting the right partner,” she told the hosts.
“That collision of, like, the panic of am I going to be able to indeed produce children as well as being told you are going into early menopause. I was just panicking and filled with shame. I didn’t know that there was years of suffering leading up to that [menopause]. I didn’t know there were a multitude of symptoms.”

When asked about the symptoms she had, she shared, “For me, I had night sweats for years before that.”
She added that menopause “is not the end.” “We are living so much longer now so why shouldn’t we set up our health better.”
In an effort to increase conversations about menopause and eliminate the stigma associated with it, Naomi Watts introduced Stripes in collaboration with synthetic biotech and renewable chemical company Amyris in October 2022.

Stripes offers a range of “holistic, science-backed solutions” for women who are going through perimenopause and menopause. The company’s line of products includes skincare, hair and body products, supplements, vaginal wellness products, and hydration kits, ranging in price from $15 to $85.
Stripes, which is proof of Watts’ dedication to eradicating stigma on the said condition, isn’t the actress’ first beauty venture.
In 2014, she co-founded Onda Beauty, a conscious beauty brand that offers skincare and hair and body products with an aim to help anyone who wants to experience the transformative power of clean beauty products.
