Miley Cyrus and Zoe Kravitz were the antithesis of the 2018 Met Gala’s Catholic theme in no-underwear looks. The two were not quite as literal as Nicki Minaj and her devilish ensemble, but they were definitely commando, naughty and risqué.
Miley bared side boob and, at times, butt crack in a Stella McCartney backless black-satin gown with a plunging cowl halter neckline. She was supposedly on-theme with her addition of gold crosses on her layered necklaces, earrings, and lower-back body chain, but the styling comes across more as ’80s Madonna to us.
The 25-year-old singer tapped Mink Shoes to custom-make her unique vegan black ankle-strap sandals with gold crucifixes for heels.

Zoe Kravitz decided to leave her underwear at home in a one-sleeved black-lace Saint Laurent dress paired with the French luxury label’s “Amber” sandals. She accessorized with mesmerizing Jacob & Co. pink-diamond earrings, which drew little attention away from the fact that she went commando.
Perhaps the way that Zoe was on-theme was that she had to put a lot of faith on those two side strings to hold her dress together all throughout the night.
