Miley Cyrus is clearly intent on making us forget her twerking past. After arriving on the 2018 Grammys red carpet in a chic Jean-Paul Gaultier Fall 2007 Couture velvet jumpsuit, the 25-year-old singer changed into an exquisite Zac Posen Pre-Fall 2018 tulle ball gown for her stage performance of “Tiny Dancer” with Sir Elton John.
Miley’s ruby red princess gown with sheer sleeves and a detailed gathered bodice had not a drop of the “Wrecking Ball” singer’s previous trashy, hot mess image. We’d believe her transformation had we not remembered that she wore a huge cupcake liner dress and flashed red panties in see-through pants just a few months ago.
As beautiful as Miley looked in her Zac Posen ball gown, the way she abruptly changes from one image to another makes her entire look feel inauthentic.

One good example of someone who has the grace and elegance to pull off a princess ball gown is Dita Von Teese. The burlesque dancer tried on the purple version of Miley’s gown for Zac Posen himself, whom you can see nodding in approval in the Instagram post below.
Who wore it better, Miley Cyrus or Dita Von Teese?
