Mila Kunis was born on August 14, 1983. When the first episode of the American television period teen sitcom That ’70s Show aired on Fox on August 23, 1998, Kunis had just turned 15. She celebrated her 15th birthday on August 14, 1998, and was just 14 when filming the first season.

Mila Kunis’ Role in ‘That ’70s Show’

The main cast members of That ’70s Show and their ages when the first episode premiered were: Topher Grace (20), Mila Kunis (15), Ashton Kutcher (20), Danny Masterson (22), Laura Prepon (18), Wilmer Valderrama (18).

Lying About Her Age to Get the Role

While there have been rumors about how she landed the role, Kunis confirmed in an October 2022 interview with Vanity Fair that she lied about her age to get the part.

“First and foremost: ’70s Show…impacted me! I met my husband. Also, it gave me an amazing opportunity of eight years of steady work that I otherwise never would have in this industry, which gave me financial freedom.”

She admitted to the lie, saying that it was a rumor that had been circulating for years. Despite lying about her age, Kunis was still offered the role because the casting directors loved her so much.

“There’s a rumor going around that I may or may not have lied about my age for That ’70s Show. I’d like to make it very clear now—I did lie, okay? I did.”

However, when she went to sign the contract, she had to include a note that a studio teacher was needed because she was only 14 years old.

“However, by the time I went to what was then a producer’s network call…you have to sign a contract before you get the job, and in my contract I had to put an asterisk for ‘studio teacher,’” she added.

“They were like, ‘What do you mean?’ And I was like, ‘Oh P.S., I’m 14.’ But at that point if you talk to the creators, they were like, ‘We loved you at that point so what did we care?’”

Kunis spoke about how That ’70s Show impacted her life, giving her eight years of steady work and financial freedom. She also met her husband, Ashton Kutcher, on the show.

“It was in the heyday of older kids playing younger kids, and I was actually of the age of the character,” Kunis said.

“I was never treated as lesser then. If I did by one of the cast members, another cast member would stand up for it. The reason I don’t do drugs was because nobody on the set did. And I looked up to them at 14. The trajectory of my career could’ve gone any which way…but the set was cool.”

Red Carpet Appearances for ‘Bad Moms’

In July 2016, Mila Kunis and her husband, Ashton Kutcher, who met while working on That ’70s Show, were expecting their second child.

One month earlier, she made a quick announcement to inform everyone about the pregnancy, ironically, just as she started promotions for her new movie Bad Moms.

The “Black Swan” star started her red carpet run for Bad Moms in Los Angeles just three days before the movie hit theaters worldwide.

Mila showed off her growing baby bump in a custom Atelier Versace dress. The strapless dress featured a cute bow, which gave it the perfect girly yet high-fashion look.

Mila kept her accessories simple. She ditched the necklace in favor of dangling earrings, rings, a bracelet, and a forearm cuff.
