While the runway is undoubtedly the main attraction at fashion shows, the front row may be just as, if not more, exciting. Celebrities and fashion icons regularly grace the front row to support the designers and check out their newest collections. But these celebs, often seen wearing the latest creations from the house or designer, usually outdo the runway looks, pulling focus away from the event itself.
A case in point is Michael Kors’ Fall/Winter 2024 runway presentation staged in Barney’s original Manhattan store on Seventh Avenue and 17th Street in Chelsea on Tuesday. Hollywood A-listers, including Katie Holmes, Blake Lively, Brie Larson, Gabrielle Union, Rachel Brosnahan, Abigail Spencer, and Nina Dobrev, as well as socialite Nicky Hilton and Gen-Z leaders Kathryn Newton and Rachel Zegler, were just among the celebrities that packed Michael Kors’ front row.
The American fashion designer sure has a lot of friends in the industry, and they all gathered together to celebrate his Fall/Winter 2024 collection, which focuses on timelessness. “For his Fall/Winter 2024 Michael Kors Collection, Michael juxtaposed the sharp, sculptural tailoring and languid lingerie dressing of the ’30s with the streamlined luxury of the ’90s and the laid-back casual attitude of today.”

1. Katie Holmes Dares to Bare in a Lace Sheer Dress
A dramatic departure from her typically minimalist, carefree aesthetic, Katie Holmes showcased her edgy and sensual style sense in a see-through floral lace ensemble, which she covered up with an oversized blazer, all from Michael Kors’ Spring/Summer 2024.
Proving she still has it, the 45-year-old actress boldly showed off her black lace bra and flat abs in the $890 stretchy Chantilly lace bodysuit with a high neckline, long sleeves, and high-cut sides that flawlessly fit her form.

The striking number was neatly tucked into the matching $2,690 tiered Chantilly lace maxi skirt with a high waist, an A-line silhouette, and a lovely, scalloped hem. It showed a glimpse of her toned legs and black high-waisted underwear that somehow covered her modesty.
Katie layered the daring see-through pieces beneath a $2,290 boxy, oversized single-breasted blazer with peaked lapels and undone buttons, confidently showing off her assets.
Although black accessories would have made for a sleeker finish, Holmes balanced the look with a $1,550 white Michael Kors “Tina” small leather minaudière featuring a sculptural stone-shaped top closure.
It matched her white open-toe heels, which she wore with black pantyhose.

Adding a dash of sparkle to her monochrome look, Katie fastened a pair of $1,500 Modern Moghul “Tanika” earrings to her ears with 3.9-carat diamonds set in rhodium-plated sterling silver and lined with gold vermeil.
She also added a single Ashaha Mono Candice yellow diamond earring and adorned her fingers with several rings from the same luxury jewelry brand. These include the Alliance Shiraz rainbow 14k yellow gold ring with sapphire and diamonds, the Dihya ring in yellow gold with 1.80-carat diamonds, and the Mia yellow gold ring with 0.2-carat diamonds.
Holmes’ tousled beachy waves and red lipstick rounded out her stunning glam.
2. Blake Lively Takes a Walk on the Wild Side in a Leopard Coat
Blake Lively, known for her effortless yet ultra-feminine and elegant sartorial choices, walked on the savannah in a giraffe-printed ensemble for her front-row attendance at Michael Kors’ F/W 2024 fashion show.
Her eccentric monochromatic brown ensemble, an exciting spin on winter neutrals, included a luxurious calfskin giraffe coat with a collar, tonal buckled belt, and a matching miniskirt that grazed her toned thighs, making a dramatic style statement.

Her brown shoulder bag with gold hoops went well with her outfit, as did her sheer brown tights and leather knee-high boots. These staple boots feature trendy square toes and thick high heels, elevating Lively’s statuesque 5’10 frame.
The remainder of Lively’s ensemble was kept cohesive. Matching her outfit was a set of oversized hoop earrings covered in glistening gems. She added a variety of large, eye-catching rings to her well-manicured brown hands.
Her gorgeous front-row appearance was topped off with soft bronze makeup and luscious blonde curls that cascaded over one shoulder.

3. Rachel Brosnahan Goes Edgy Noir in Black Bandeau and Miniskirt
At Michael Kors’ Fall/Winter 2024 fashion show during New York Fashion Week on Tuesday, Rachel Brosnahan opted for edgy noir, a far cry from the ultra-feminine and modest vintage dresses she wore on the set of the 1950s period comedy series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
Exuding undeniable confidence, the 33-year-old actress showcased her flat abs and toned legs in a three-piece ensemble from Michael Kors’ Spring/Summer 2024 collection.
She braved the winter chill in a gothic-vampy look that included a $750 black crepe bandeau top with spaghetti straps and an $850 low-waisted crepe mini skirt with a dangerously high slit almost reaching her crotch.
To stay warm, Rachel paired her tiny ensemble with a $2,190 double-breasted boxy jacket with peaked lapels and a cutoff silhouette.

Brosnahan coordinated her accessories for a polished look. She draped the $595 Michael Kors “Marisa” ring belt around her hips, giving the gothic look an intriguing bohemian touch. It featured polished gold-tone rings anchored by supple leather links, the same feature seen on her black shoulder bag.
Parading her bare legs, Brosnahan teamed her outfit with black ankle boots by Gianvito Rossi. The $1,295 Nappa leather “Freeda” boots have fashionable square toes, 3.7-inch chunky heels that enhance Rachel’s 5’3″ height, and the iconic gold-tone tiny ribbon of the Italian luxury shoe brand.
Her bold look was expertly coordinated with a $1,250 Anita Ko “Cosmo” 18k yellow gold ear cuff, Yvonne Leon’s Chevalière Ovale onyx signet ring, and a chain choker necklace.

4. Gabrielle Union Looks Chic in Spring Whites
Gabrielle Union stood out in white among the sea of black ensembles, providing some serious style inspiration for the coming season.
She defied the winter cold by dressing in an all-white flowery lace ensemble from Michael Kors’ Spring/Summer 2024 collection. Her button-down collared shirt with a scalloped hem showed off her toned abs, while her matching miniskirt with three-dimensional floral appliques skimmed her thighs.

Union highlighted her red pedicure with contrasting black peep-toe mules rather than white heels to finish a head-to-toe white ensemble.

5. Nina Dobrev Exudes Feminine and Fashion Forward Style in Floral Lace
Always looking put together, The Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev wore a sleeveless black mini dress with glittery 3D floral appliques and a romantic laser cut flower motif that showed a glimpse of her flesh.
Nina’s thigh-grazing minidress would have been perfect for parading her toned legs, but she paired it with over-the-knee boots that barely showed off her pins.
Nina stayed warm with an oversized blazer draped over her arms. She was styled by Kate Young, who completed her look with chunky bangles, a gold and onyx ring, and matching $295 hoop earrings from Monica Vinader and Kate Young’s collaborative collection.

Ryan Trygstad beautifully pulled Nina’s brunette hair up into a bridal flower bun with long bangs skimming her eyes. Hung Vanggo, meanwhile, finished off her seductive look with Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty lipstick and lip liner in the shade Humble, along with mascara and winged eyeliner.
Adding a fashion-forward edge to her feminine look, Nina wore the $1,295 “Elle” over-the-knee boots from Michael Kors’ Fall/Winter 2022 collection. They are crafted in Italy from supple leather with pointed toes and 4-inch stiletto heels to create an illusion of longer legs.

6. Kathryn Newton Is Sensational in Silver Miniskirt
Lisa Frankenstein lead star Kathryn Newton was a sight to behold, dressed in a light gray sweater and silver miniskirt from Michael Kors.
She wore the “Joan” turtleneck knit sweater, $790 at Nordstrom, with a soft cashmere construction, ribbed cuffs, and a ribbed hem perfectly tucked into a metallic silver leather miniskirt.
Showcasing her toned legs, Kathryn wore a floral cutout mini skirt with a banded waist, a back zip closure, and a scalloped hem cut several inches above her knees. It retails for $3,990 at Saks Fifth Avenue.
Letting the gray and silver look take center stage, Kathryn went for minimalist styling, wearing just a cocktail ring.

Kathryn chose a monochrome ensemble, much like everyone else in the front row, and accessorized with silver shoes also by the renowned American designer.
She wore the Spring/Summer 2024 “Chrissy” sandals made in Italy from metallic python-embossed leather. Set on leg-lengthening 4.25-inch stiletto heels, these alluring yet sophisticated sandals have a strappy silhouette with slim crossover straps across the toes and a wraparound ankle strap.
She carried the $1,090 “Christie” mini envelop bag in the same metallic silver python-embossed leather with chain-link straps for a tough-luxe finish.
Her long, blonde hair was sleek and straight, with her signature bangs framing her face. Newton highlighted her enchanting blue eyes with heavy mascara, glimmering eyeshadow, and eyeliner. Her pale pink blush and peachy lips rounded out her beauty look.

7. Nicky Hilton Stands Out in Glittering Purple Pants
Usually clad in sophisticated ensembles, Nicky Hilton showcased her quirky and whimsical sense of style when she graced the front row in a monochromatic purple ensemble.
She wore the $790 Michael Kors featherweight Italian silk sweater with a relaxed fit, a turtleneck, and ribbed trims for added texture.
The bottom part of her outfit contradicted the basic appearance of her top. She slipped her slender legs into the $2,990 Spring 2024 stretch tulle flared pants adorned with thousands of light-reflecting sequins.

Keeping the rest of the look elegant, Nicky fastened a pair of diamond stud earrings to her ears and decorated her pointy finger with a statement ring while carrying a snake-embossed silver clutch.
Valerie Vanessa coiffed her blonde hair in an elegant updo, while Joel Vasquez accentuated her bright blue eyes with a subtle smoky makeup and winged eyeliner. Her glam was enhanced with a light pink lip gloss and peachy blush.
