Marion Cotillard became the second French actress to receive two Oscar nominations for French-language films, following Isabelle Adjani. She was nominated for Best Actress for her role in the Belgian film “Two Days, One Night.”
At the 2015 Academy Awards, the other nominees for Best Actress included Felicity Jones for “The Theory of Everything,” Julianne Moore for “Still Alice,” Rosamund Pike for “Gone Girl,” and Reese Witherspoon for “Wild.” Julianne Moore won for her outstanding performance in “Still Alice.”
In 2008, Cotillard won the Best Actress Oscar for her portrayal of Edith Piaf in “La Vie en Rose.” She became the first person to win for a French-language performance and only the second French cinema actress, after Simone Signoret in the 1959 British film Room at the Top, to win this award.

The 39-year-old French actress donned a white floor-length gown from the Christian Dior Spring 2014 Couture collection. The gown featured perforated latticework and black paneling at the back.
