Many consider Olivia Palermo one of the fashion industry’s biggest style icons. Most of the time, she goes for high fashion; she also never misses a chance to display her spot-on looks at any fashionable fete!

The other day, at the “For the Love of Cinema” celebration dinner hosted by IWC Schaffhausen and Tribeca Film Festival at Urban Zen Loft in New York City, Olivia Palermo once again proved her style credentials.
Instead of wearing a dress, the 28-year-old socialite opted for a three-piece monochromatic outfit that included a top, a pair of trousers, and a feathered blazer that matched her clutch. Her ensemble was a safe choice for the occasion, but she nailed it. She looked glamorous, not to mention very chic and modern.
Olivia’s black-and-white outfit isn’t as boring as critics say. The pattern is very striking, plus the fringe/feather effect made her overall appearance more interesting. Her hair fell over her shoulders, while her makeup was in a natural palette for a simpler yet sophisticated look.

Complementing Olivia Palermo’s monochrome separates were the Marilyn Monroe–inspired Aquazzura “Lulu” mesh pumps. They are made of black mesh material with leather trims and suede heel counters.

They also feature pointed toes, giving them a more classic look, in addition to lacquered pin heels that measure about 4 inches. You can find them at Nordstrom and Bergdorf Goodman.
