We’ve seen top model Maria Borges kill it at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show with her gigantic wings and colorful beads. But recently, we got to take a look at her style outside of the lingerie mogul’s influence.

We’ve seen a lot of African-American women work fashion with their gorgeous skin color, but we haven’t seen anyone wear bright colors like Lupita does… until we checked out Maria Borges’ style.

The Angel surprised us with a pair of edgy Malone Souliers “Maureen” pumps in gray suede that you can buy at Moda Operandi, Farfetch, Shopbop and Nordstrom.

As it turns out, Maria was celebrating Roy Luwolt and Mary Alice Malone — the dynamic duo of Malone Souliers. The brand received the Vivian Infantino Emerging Talent Award for its unique footwear design. The 25-year-old Angolan fashion model posed with one half of the design duo Roy Luwolt on the red carpet.
Truthfully, Maria’s styling was a bit on the extreme side, but something about the model’s spunk made it look good anyway. Neon pinks and grays are always a bit tricky to pull off.
Nonetheless, the model made it work with just a bit of brown shadow, rosy cheeks and nude lips. This lady is definitely on our must-watch list.
