Julianne Hough and Vanessa Hudgens have several things in common right now: both were in New York recently, both attended an event with a pink carpet, and both got into the fall spirit by wearing velvet dresses.

Who do you think between the two looked more va-va-voom in velvet? Check them out below.

Julianne Hough brought old Hollywood glamour to the QVC 20th Annual “FFANY Shoes on Sale” Gala last Tuesday in a midnight blue panné velvet gown by Marc Jacobs.

She resisted the temptation to go dark and heavy with her hair, makeup, and accessories. Instead, she wore a modernized finger-wave hairdo, pinkish-red lipstick, and a simple tassel necklace. We guess she didn’t need to overdo it because the dress was already doing all the work — check out that sexy, super-low back!

A couple of days later, Vanessa Hudgens also donned a slinky velvet dress to the ULTA Beauty “Donate with a Kiss” event to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Styling everything according to her signature bohemian style, Vanessa rocked ombre hair, a long feather necklace, and a turquoise beaded cuff bracelet.

Vanessa completed her boho look with a sparkly Edie Parker clutch and suede Alice + Olivia “Dina” pumps, both in pink, keeping with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s pink theme.
