We may seldom see Lindsay Lohan walk the red carpet these days, but when she does, she does so with style. On Tuesday, the 37-year-old actress looked every bit the leading lady in her white satin slip dress as she made a rare red-carpet appearance with her siblings Dakota and Aliana at the New York City premiere of her upcoming film, Irish Wish.
A New Romantic Comedy on the Horizon
Following the success of her 2022 Christmas romcom, Falling for Christmas, Lindsay Lohan is back with another romantic comedy, Irish Wish, set to be released on Netflix on March 15, just two days before St. Patrick’s Day.
Irish Wish centers on Maddie (Lindsay Lohan), who sets her feelings aside when the man of her dreams, Paul Kennedy (Alexander Vlahos), becomes engaged to her best friend, Heather (Ayesha Curry). Before the wedding in Ireland, Maddie wishes to marry Paul. The next day, Maddie wakes up as Paul’s future bride. Even though it seems like her dream has come true, Maddie later realizes that her true love is someone else.

Vintage Elegance: Lohan’s Red-Carpet Style
I am always mesmerized by Lindsay Lohan’s red carpet style, and her most recent look did not fail to impress me. Putting her best fashion foot forward, Lohan channeled old Hollywood glamour in a vintage John Galliano slip dress that gracefully draped over her curves.
I love how minimalistic yet elegant the gown looks. A shirred front adds texture to the otherwise plain silk dress. It also features thick shoulder straps and a plunging neckline that doesn’t reveal too much, making it elegant rather than trashy.
The classy dress was finished with a flowy skirt that touched the floor, creating a graceful and modest look.

The Ensemble: A Study in Contrasts
What I didn’t like about Lohan’s ensemble was her choice of beige heels that contrasted with the rest of her look. She wore the Casadei “Blade” sandals designed to catch light from every angle.
They have an open toe, a crystal-encrusted strappy upper, knot detailing, and a buckled ankle strap perched atop the Italian luxury shoe label’s signature killer blade heels. These striking sandals are currently on sale for $598 (from $995) at Farfetch.

Although the glittery tan shoes went nicely with her signature ginger red hair and pedicure, I think a pair of silver high heels or white pumps would have enhanced the vintage feel of her gown.
Lohan still looked terrific, nevertheless, with the assistance of styling duo Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn.

Preparing for the Premiere
Ahead of the Irish Wish premiere, the mom-of-one was seen arriving at the Paris Theater carrying a $925 black satin Hunting Season “The Square” Trunk Bag with tassels inspired by antique Balinese baskets. It came with a crossbody strap and the label’s signature slip-through tab closure.
Over her shoulders, she draped a thick ivory white Technical Baby Alpaca double-breasted overcoat by Canadian luxury outerwear brand Sentaler. For me, it was the perfect outerwear for the look, as it provided the all-white ensemble with a refined and classy touch.
She later removed her coat to showcase her ensemble, including her jewelry, in all its glory.

Accessorizing the Look
I find it interesting how her shiny white dress provided the perfect blank canvas for her opulent accessories. Although she adorned her look with lavish jewelry, it enhanced rather than overpowered her appearance.
The Mean Girls star fastened the Reza “Atoll” earrings to her ears. They feature 22-carat emerald-cut and brilliant-cut diamonds dangling from an 8.56-carat cabochon sapphire.
On her left wrist was a Cartier Tank Americaine large 18K Yellow Gold Diamond Bezel Automatic Watch, while on her right was a stack of bracelets, including the Vrai Created Diamond Tennis Bracelet, Vrai Illuminate Bracelet, Hoorsenbuhs Store 5mm Open-Link Bracelet, and Hoorsenbuhs Store ID Bracelet.
She also adorned her manicured fingers with the Muzo Nova Classic Pave Shank Ring, the Reza Ring, and the $11,993 Yeprem Yellow Gold and Diamond Golden Strada Stackable Ring.

Beauty and Hair: Finishing Touches
I appreciate Elle Gerstein painting Lohan’s nails in a natural nude hue to complement her vintage gown. She used the Aprés Nail Gel Couleur in Forgotten Film layered with the HypnoGel Glitter Bomb Catseye inspired by an Irish cream.
I would have preferred a chic updo to complete the Old Hollywood vibe of the look, but Danielle Priano styled Lohan’s red tresses down in waves with extensions to create volume.
Kristofer Buckle, meanwhile, opted for minimal makeup, enhancing Lohan’s inherent beauty with soft pink lipstick and blush. He highlighted her green eyes with smokey pink eyeshadow, mascara, and eyeliner.

Family and Friends Rally in Support
Lohan was accompanied at the event by her husband, Bader Shammas, who was dapper in an open black suit with a white shirt and black shoes.
The two wed in April 2022 and share a son, born in July 2023.

Her dad, Michael Lohan, was also at the premiere, dressed in a navy blue checkered blazer, a black tee, and black pants. He completed his outfit with a charcoal gray baseball cap and a black crossbody bag.

Sibling Support on the Green Carpet
Lohan’s siblings, Dakota and Aliana, also showed their support, posing with Lindsay Lohan in elegant ensembles on the green carpet.
Aliana shimmered in a form-fitting red sequin gown with a high neck and long sleeves, accentuating her slender physique. Her black pointed-toe pumps went perfectly with her ankle-length gown, but I would have preferred if she carried a black clutch instead of a red one.
Dakota, who stars as Finn with Lindsay Lohan in Irish Wish, looked dapper in an all-black suit composed of a blazer, a button-up shirt, trousers, and loafers.
