‘The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society’ (available at Amazon) is a historical novel by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows that was published in 2008. The film adaption, which is directed by Mike Newell and written by Don Roos and Tom Bezucha, also stars Lily’s former ‘Downton Abbey’ co-star Jessica Brown Findlay. The 28-year-old English actress joined Lily on the red carpet in a glamorous dark-teal Vivienne Westwood Couture gown.
