Lea Michele may have moved on from “Glee” and “Scream Queens,” but it looks like the actress wanted another hand at frontlining a comedy series. Thanks to her role as political adviser Val Barella on single-camera show “The Mayor,” Lea has her chance.
Lea’s previous show “Scream Queens” — headed by actress Emma Roberts — seemed to be on a trajectory to success, but failed to make it past the second season.
Fortunately, the pop star spent no time wallowing in self-pity. Lea was up and about promoting “The Mayor” at Andy Cohen’s hit variety show “Watch What Happens Live.”
