What are the odds that you will run across someone else wearing exactly the same outfit as you at an event? Some may consider it a fashion faux pas and probably one of the biggest worries of any celebrity, but I prefer to see it as a testament to their exquisite, shared sense of style.
Recently, Brie Larson and Alexandra Daddario were photographed at the 7th Edition of the Filming Italy Sardegna Festival photocall. Shocking everyone, they showed up wearing the same black-and-white “Maryanna” polka dot dress by Santa Barbara-based label Dôen—and no, they didn’t plan it.
Although many would likely assume that the two would feel embarrassed or awkward for dressing alike, I don’t think it bothers them; they are both stylish and have similar feminine tastes anyway. Besides, the dress is the perfect way to kick off summer in Italy.

The Dôen “Maryanna” silk georgette dress, priced at $498, is airy and flowy, making it ideal for warm weather. It has a retro 1950s-inspired appearance, complete with polka dots, common in women’s clothing at the time.
I particularly love its silhouette; its fitted, smocked bodice draws attention to Daddario and Larson’s slender frames and offers a flattering shape. It also has a barely visible polka dot bow, giving it a charming sweetheart neckline.
Extremely skinny spaghetti straps hold the dress in place, while the invisible side zipper and hook-and-eye closure give way to an ankle-grazing A-line skirt.
Interestingly, although dressed the same, Brie and Alexandra emanated different energies that highlighted their distinct styles.
Brie Larson Embraces Romantic Summertime Vibe with Manolo Blahnik Mules
Brie heightened the romantic feel of the dress with strappy black Manolo Blahnik “Ninfemu” sandals. Their barely-there uppers, with thin cable straps that crisscross at the vamps, give them a minimalist, contemporary look.
The square open toes allowed Larson to display her white pedicure, which went well with her black-and-white summer dress. Kitten heels about 2.25 inches high completed the mules, giving Larson’s impressive 5’7” height a slight lift.
If you want to step up your summertime style game, these Manolo Blahnik mules can be purchased at Saks Fifth Avenue and Ssense for $645.

The Scott Pilgrim vs. the World actress further enhanced the beauty of the ensemble by accessorizing with yellow gold Anita Ko jewelry.
Adding a dash of sparkle, she fastened the Diamond Lola Huggies to her ears, retailing for $10,775. They have 1.7 carats of round diamonds and 0.33 carats of baguette diamonds set in 18k yellow gold. The “Zoe” 18k yellow gold ring, which features Anita Ko’s signature braided effect, completed her jewelry. It’s available for $5,651 at Farfetch.
The Captain Marvel star fashioned her blonde hair in stunning waves that cascaded over one shoulder, maintaining a carefree yet romantic appearance.
She then opted for peachy makeup, emphasizing her brown eyes with mascara and eyeshadow and highlighting the rest of her features with peach lipstick and blush.

Alexandra Daddario Rocks Laid-Back Summer Look with Celine Sneakers
On the other hand, Daddario took a more carefree approach, dressing down her polka-dot dress with white Celine sneakers.
I like Daddario’s appearance better than Larson’s; I thought it was more youthful. But I would have appreciated it even more if she had opted for a less chunky pair of white sneakers.
Still, I adore her low-top Celine sneakers, made in Italy from smooth calfskin leather with a textile interior. They have round toes and graphic leather cutouts, and the Celine signature on the outsole’s tongue, back, and external side makes them easily recognizable.
Retailing for $790, these Celine Trainers are finished with around 0.2 inches of heel height and rubber outsoles for traction.

Diamond and silver rings decorated her manicured hands while matching earrings adorned her ears. The True Detective star also wore a watch, perhaps a Tag Heuer, as the brand had named her an ambassador the previous year.
Daddario, who I think has one of the loveliest faces in the industry, enhanced her features with rosy blush and lipstick. Her shiny brunette hair was styled in tousled waves. It contrasted nicely with her pale complexion as it flowed around her shoulders.

Shoes undeniably have the power to drastically transform the overall vibe of an ensemble. Although Larson and Daddario wore identical outfits, their distinct shoe choices conveyed completely different moods.
