Five years after co-starring in the musical romantic drama A Star Is Born, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper reunited on the red carpet, proving that their friendship is anything but shallow.

The 13-time Grammy winner stepped out on Tuesday to support her former co-star at the Los Angeles premiere of his latest movie, Maestro, at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.

Before the movie screening, Gaga posed alongside Cooper and his co-star Carey Mulligan on the red carpet. The longtime friends even wore matching suits for their rare red carpet appearance together.

Embracing the shirtless blazer trend, Lady Gaga wore nothing underneath her black Alexander McQueen Fall 2023 single-breasted blazer.

The understated yet sophisticated tailored jacket featured a plunging neckline and sculpted shoulders. It also had orchid crystal embroidery on the bottom front, showcasing the late British designer‘s distinctive edgy flair.

Since reinventing her style, Lady Gaga has started to gravitate more toward the sophisticated, masculine style, which is a far cry from the typically bizarre ensembles she has worn in the past.

She paired the exquisite look with sleek wool pants flared at the bottom, a black Jimmy Choo “Ellipse” clutch, and black velvety boots with upturned sharp toes.

Exuding sophistication, Lady Gaga served Old Hollywood grandeur on the red carpet. She fashioned her shoulder-length platinum blonde hair in Jessica Rabbit-inspired retro waves and perfectly highlighted her gorgeous features with a bronzed makeup look.

Gaga added a pop of color to her all-black outfit with a swipe of muted red lipstick and accentuated her hazel eyes with delicate eyeshadow, mascara, and cat eyeliner. She dusted her cheeks with peachy blush and sported softly arched dark eyebrows.

Gaga’s attendance “means the world” to Cooper. The actor-director told E! News on the red carpet that he’s excited for Gaga to see the movie as “she’s a dear friend” and they “went through such an incredible experience together, so you just want to share the art with each other.”

Bradley, 48, was handsome in a crisp three-piece navy-blue suit that included a jacket, a vest, and a white button-down shirt. He teamed the neat ensemble with a black necktie, pleated straight-leg trousers, and black loafers.

At one point on the red carpet, Bradley was joined by his daughter Lea De Seine, 6, whom he shares with his ex-girlfriend supermodel Irina Shayk.

Lea looked adorable in her leopard-print Dolce & Gabbana dress with puff sleeves and a flowing ankle-length skirt. She paired her ensemble with the 2024 shoe trend metallic gold ballet flats and finished the look with a red and black boxy purse slung across her body.

How Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga Became Friends

After Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga portrayed onscreen couple Jack and Ally in the 2018 film A Star Is Born, fans have become obsessed with their off-screen friendship.

However, Cooper revealed in an interview with Conan O’Brien that they had already gotten along over a meal before agreeing to work on the project.

“I was hungry, she made me food,” he said, sharing how Gaga offered him some leftover pasta from her home. “It was insane. She made me feel so comfortable.”

Gaga told People, “We had it in the fridge, and when he came over I was heating it up for him in a pan, and before I knew it was two Italian Americans from the East Coast eating spaghetti together. It was an instant connection.”

The fact that they both have Italian ancestry has also contributed to their friendship. “I didn’t know you were Italian,” Cooper told Gaga at the Venice Film Festival in August 2018.

“I remember when we first met, after 10 minutes we were eating homemade food that she cooked – I love to eat – and that was actually a huge bond that we both came from East Coast Italian-American families. So we had a real synchronicity on that level from our upbringing.”

The two have gotten closer since then. In January 2019, Cooper joined Gaga on stage during her Enigma residency in Las Vegas, where they performed their song Shallow from A Star Is Born.

Cooper has also become Gaga’s confidant and even sought him for advice before taking on the role of Patrizia Reggiani in the biopic House of Gucci.

“I’ve confided in Bradley for years. And I’ve always appreciated his support and his advice, his thoughts on my future endeavors.”
