Kylie Cantrall is reprising her role as Red in the music video for “Red Christmas,” a special holiday song inspired by the musical teen fantasy comedy film Descendants: The Rise of Red, which premiered on Disney+ in July.
To generate buzz about her new song, Cantrall sang it on board The LEGO Group’s Brick-Changer float during the 98th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The next day, she appeared on Good Morning America, dressed, of course, in red—a color that not only goes with her song and movie character but also with the Christmas season.

Cantrall starred as Red, daughter of Queen of Hearts (Rita Ora), in the Descendants franchise. With 6.7 million viewers in its first three days, the film became the highest original Disney Branded Television film to premiere on the streaming service. The movie’s soundtrack also received 26 million streams on multiple platforms.

Kylie Cantrall is getting into the holiday spirit early, dressing festively in a $449 red-and-white Alia dress from Nana Jacqueline, a Los Angeles-based label known for its unique blend of modern fashion and old-money elegance.
Instead of adopting her Descendants character Red’s more rebellious, troublemaking image, Kylie chose a sophisticated, feminine look reminiscent of the 1980s.
Kylie’s stunning red minidress, elegantly cut at her thighs to highlight her toned legs, features a retro-inspired white collar and lapel. It also has two large crystal buttons at the front that lend a touch of glitter, and gently puffed, structured sleeves that highlight the dress’s vintage appeal.

Despite the relatively modest silhouette—which gently widens into an A-line silhouette towards the hem—the plunging neckline and cutout back give it a fierce, daring edge.
I particularly like the huge white bow at the back, as it enhances the flirty and feminine feel of the dress. The leopard-print lingerie-style top she wore underneath makes the look more provocative.
Kylie paired the mini dress with black tights, adding more festive vintage flair. At one point outside the GMA studios, she was seen wrapped up in a black puffer jacket designed with Mickey Mouse patches.

How Kylie Cantrall Added Sparkle to Her Festive Ensemble
Kylie Cantrall’s accessories, which naturally included something red, gave her ensemble even more glitz. In addition to the crystal buttons on her blazer dress, Kylie added a few delicate rings and glistening hoop earrings as accessories.
Kylie also carried a red patent Self Portrait purse with long handles, silver-tone zips, and ribbon accents adorned with sparkling crystals.
What really caught my attention, though, was her three-strand pearl choker necklace with a diamond in the center, which reminded me of vintage necklaces. It was the perfect finishing touch to her retro-inspired ensemble.

Her shoes completed her shimmering crimson accessories! They are red, of course, and have a strappy caged style adorned with sparkling crystals. Additionally, they have a buckled ankle strap studded with crystals and are completed with 4.7-inch stiletto heels.
