Kirsten Dunst may not have an entry in this year’s Cannes Film Festival, but she was called onboard to serve as a juror by jury president George Miller anyway. The young actress upheld her part by defending the relevance of film festivals today when questioned by a journalist.
The 34-year-old was seen joining the rest of the jury members, including Vanessa Paradis, Donald Sutherland and Mads Mikkelsen, at the film festival in France.

Kirsten wore a yellow dress suit from Dior Haute Couture which she paired with an interesting pair of shoes. She selected the 1947-patented design from Salvatore Ferragamo. While the shoe may not be the exact one as the original (the heel was changed to a wedge), the single nylon string running continuously to form the upper was retained.
The actress finished her look with a Salvatore Ferragamo “Sofia” wicker bag and a pair of Oliver Peoples “Sheldrake Plus” sunglasses.

Kirsten said festivals are essential for promoting films, especially the lesser known ones. We’ll add that international film festivals are also a good way to connect to other cultures across the world.
