Kim Kardashian’s attire as she left her Manhattan apartment yesterday epitomizes irony. She bundled up in a heavy maxi coat to fend off the cold, leaving her tummy, legs, and feet conspicuously bare, almost defeating the coat’s purpose.

Fashion can be quite the paradox, ladies! It often brings a mix of pain, absurdity, and insensibility. This was evident in the 33-year-old reality star’s latest ensemble.

Despite these challenges, her outfit still looks smashing. The combination of mustard, violet, and grey is perfect for this season. She sure knows how to rock pencil skirts, but we think it’s time she gives her cropped tops a rest and opts for more F/W-appropriate pieces.

Her skirt is from Lanvin, and her pair of itty-bitty sandals are from Tom Ford. The piece de resistance here, though, is her on-trend maxi coat, which is from Max Mara:

This Max Mara coat from their F/W collection exudes elegance and warmth and is made from luxurious wool and angora. While the coat is undeniably cozy, it’s questionable if it could fend off the winter chill, especially paired with Kim’s minimalist Tom Ford sandals.

We do suggest adding a shade of yellow to your closet. It can’t hurt to don a bright color when the weather gets dreary, right?
