Katie Holmes has embraced the boho cocktail trend once again, demonstrating its timeless appeal. The actress, balancing her busy schedule as a mom, took a moment to grace the red carpet with her presence, looking effortlessly chic.
Stepping away from her usual street style, Katie transformed into a red-carpet diva for the grand opening of TAO Group’s latest venture in Los Angeles.

Katie ditched her usual jeans and flats to show off her lovely legs in a mini dress by Isabel Marant.

The 38-year-old finished her look with Tamara Mellon’s “Frontline” sandals. The crowd favorite did a great job elongating Katie’s legs, though we would have preferred a black pair for this outfit.
We also hope Katie will start taking better care of her feet.

Katie traded her usual bun for shiny, straight locks. Her simple blowout look complemented her nude eyes, rosy cheeks, and rose-tinted lips.
We don’t hate this look, but we don’t love it. This cute dress did nothing to emphasize Katie’s slim physique, and the nude shoes looked awkward with her dark dress.
Despite our lukewarm reaction to her outfit, we do have to admit that the mom-of-one still looked gorgeous.

Katie typically embraces a fuss-free approach to styling, and she cleverly applied this effortless attitude to create two distinct looks with the same dress, two years apart.
The 38-year-old actress and filmmaker wore the “Ren” shift dress from Isabel Marant, which features black silk crepe de Chine and folk-inspired embroidery created with red, saffron, and gold yarn.

The star of “The Kennedys: After Camelot” wore the same dress at a charity event two years ago, where she donated some of her coats to the One Warm Coat initiative as part of the Glad to Give campaign.
For that occasion, Katie styled her Isabel Marant dress with black opaque tights, dewy makeup, a chic ponytail, and black leather boots.

She wore the “Gabi” boots from Alexander Wang, which featured grained calfskin leather, tapered toes, and concealed side zip closures. They also featured stacked cut-out heels with rose gold-tone metal insets.
What do you think of these two looks from Katie Holmes? Which one was styled better?
