Please leave it to Kate Moss to always inject rocker edge flavor into her outfits.

At the Rimmel anniversary party yesterday, the seasoned supermodel wore an all-black attire of skinny jeans, a studded blouse, and Alaïa Leopard-print calf hair-paneled suede ankle boots.

Not content with the decoration on her shirt, Kate put on a black velvet cape embellished with micro studs.

Even her rockstar hubby, Jamie Hince, took a cue. He wore black from head to toe and styled the outfit with a printed scarf around his neck (a la Matt Goss, or perhaps Matt got tips from Jamie).

So what do you think of Kate’s Rimmel-party style?

Take note—she rocked velvet-like cotton. Her matching cape and top would probably look a little over the top on anyone else, but on Kate, well, let’s just say she was able to carry the combo like it was meant to be. She managed to make studded velvet look darn cool.

What about you, do you think you can wear Kate’s outfit and look cool while doing so? We have yet to find out where Kate scored her velvet studded cape (and matching studded blouse).

If you want to copy the whole outfit to a T, you can purchase some black velvet (or velveteen) fabric and create the cape and blouse from scratch. Which DIY project do you feel like doing?
