The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, continues to wow us with her sartorial choices. Although she has always had impeccable style, sometimes her dress choices border on safe and boring.

But this latest pick did not make us want to take a nap. The mother-of-two took a chance with this floor-grazing floral gown from Erdem.

This Erdem “Alouette” tiered floral silk gown is a show-stopper, to be sure. It features a festive floral pattern with a red backdrop.
Her gown also has a modest neckline and a cinched waist, highlighting Kate’s trim figure. It flares delicately down the waist and stops mid-leg to make way for a pleated tier.

If there’s one bad thing we can say about this look, the Duchess of Cambridge should have gone with an updo. The hair isn’t doing her a huge favor, especially given the formality of the dress and her earrings.
What are your thoughts on Kate’s stunning Erdem gown? If you’re inspired to channel your inner Duchess, you can still find it at Saks Fifth Avenue.
