At Fashion Group International’s recently concluded 40th Anniversary Night of Stars event, Kate Hudson presented Max Mara with the Design Heritage Award. Considering that, it’s only safe to assume she was wearing Max Mara for the evening.

I wasn’t surprised she chose this dress for the occasion since it’s subtle yet sophisticated. Her signature style—which frequently combines classic elegance with carefree bohemian flair—resonates with the Italian upscale brand’s simplicity and refinement.

Before presenting the award to Maria Giulia Prezioso Maramotti, the third-generation Max Mara heiress, Hudson said in her remarks, “The Maramotti family’s commitment to artistry, empowerment, and creating pieces that transcend time is something truly special.”

“From our designers, pattern makers, craftspeople, and remarkable clients who have worn, loved, and embraced Max Mara for almost 75 years, this award belongs to them.”

Kate Hudson’s Black Off-the-Shoulder Maxi Dress

Kate Hudson embraced her signature sophistication in a form-fitting black maxi dress that hugged every inch of her contour. It’s sleek in a stretch jersey with an off-the-shoulder neckline that enhances its sultry allure without coming off as tacky.

It’s fitted along the bodice and hips before flaring to an asymmetrical, softly pleated hem that ends at her ankles. If I’m not mistaken, Kate wore the Max Mara “Gerla” dress, which retails for $935 at Net-a-Porter.

Kate Hudson typically keeps her accessories minimal; she often favors classic, timeless pieces over flashy ones. However, it was unexpected that Kate decided not to wear any jewelry to the FGI event, where she could freely express herself through fashion.

Nevertheless, I still think the outfit looks elegant even without the jewelry.

Kate Hudson’s Max Mara Sandals

Instead, Kate opted to wear a pair of shoes covered in crystals to add sparkle to the ensemble. They’re called the “Stark” by Max Mara, and they feature asymmetrical straps and slingback straps adorned with sparkling rhinestone crystals.

They’re finished with open toes and 3.5-inch heels, adding extra inches to Hudson’s 5’6” height.

Kate Hudson’s Unmistakable Glow

Glam-wise, Kate Hudson constantly serves. She usually sports minimal makeup to showcase her natural beauty, which I find admirable.

Hudson added peachy blush and pink lipstick for the event, accentuating her gorgeous features. She then wore her blonde tresses in beachy waves cascading over her bare shoulders.
