Can you imagine Kate Bosworth with ribbons and rosettes? We’re so used to seeing this fashionable blond in something clean and simple that to imagine her in such details is a bit of a stretch. But guess what? Ribbons and rosettes are precisely what the actress wore when attending the 37th Deauville American Film Festival in France in September 2011.

Contrary to what you might think, she looked stunning in her bow-detailed Valentino dress. It was not minimal, but it wasn’t too busy either. Kate simply looked elegant.

With such an oversized detail at her waist, you might expect her to tone down the accessories. However, she did the opposite—finishing the look with a rosette and bow-embellished clutch paired with tri-tone snake print heels, a surprisingly perfect combination!

Now, it’s because of her python-capped lattice peep toe heels that Kate is here today. Check them out up close:

Kate Bosworth is known for her love of heels, which she frequently uses to complement her 5’5″ frame. She has a remarkable collection of high-end shoes from designers like Valentino, Christian Louboutin, and Giuseppe Zanotti.

What do you think of the shoes? Do you like them? The black-knotted stringy straps at the back of the ankles make these shoes stand out. This pair has that retro vintage feel, making it the perfect style to wear with her romantic dress.

Kate’s purse is also from Valentino. The pumps are unavailable online, but you can find the closed-toe version at Bergdorf Goodman—a style with a pointed toe and no platform.

So, what do you think of this version of Kate’s Valentino pumps? Do they strike you as chic, or do they feel a bit too retro and old-fashioned? Would you be willing to spend $995 on them? If so, go ahead and treat yourself! Remember not to underestimate the heel—it’s a solid 4 inches. Enjoy stepping out in these fabulous shoes if you’re up for the challenge!
