Kate Beckinsale has been keeping a low profile in Hollywood, but the beautiful actress is still turning heads in her hometown.
Her 2016 period comedy film “Love and Friendship” may have failed to make it to the prestigious Hollywood awards list, but London was not one to snub her.

The actress was given the thumbs up at the London Critics’ Circle Film Awards for her performance on the American period comedy, where she took home the “British/Irish Actress of the Year” award for her work.
Kate Beckinsale replaced Sienna Miller, who was initially cast in the lead role but dropped out.

Kate stepped out in one of her signature white looks, this time in a breathtaking faux wrap dress from Christian Siriano’s Spring 2017 collection. The wrap dress was slightly updated with cape sleeves, a long tulip skirt, and a waistband.
The actress finished her look with gold drop earrings, a black clutch, and a pair of Stuart Weitzman “Courtesan” sandals in black.

Kate brings her naturally hilarious personality to “Love and Friendship” as Lady Susan, who is keen on finding wealthy husbands for herself and her only daughter. The movie is based on author Jane Austen’s novel of the same title that you can buy on Amazon.
The win didn’t come as a surprise to us since Kate seems to easily magnetize her viewers. In true Kate Beckinsale style, she made the audience laugh several times as she came up to accept her award.

Love & Friendship was a reunion for Kate Beckinsale and Chloë Sevigny. The film was released almost two decades after their first collaboration in The Last Days of Disco.
Also directed by Whit Stillman, the 1998 American comedy-drama film The Last Days of Disco marked the beginning of a friendship that has stood the test of time.
However, even after all these years, Kate Beckinsale is still stumped by how to correctly pronounce Chloë’s surname.
